All the rain we had last week (a very welcome rain!) washed my daughter's herb garden across the backyard. LOL, who know where all those herbs will wind up growing...if they do. We've had the hardest time growing anything with the ground being so hard and dry. I just hope they wind up somewhere, for her sake. She worked so hard on it. :)

Awww. Sorry, but that made me laugh. I guess it's partial hysteria from my garden being washed away during Fay. That and the thoughts of you having a bunch of herbs sprouting up in all sorts of strange places.

Hehehe...yeah it will be quite amusing to see! At least when I told her they could wind up all over the backyard, she felt some better about all her hard work being washed away. She really gets into this yard work thing...hmmmm...maybe I'm on to something here?

Sorry about your Daughter's garden Karen, but yes, how wonderful to have a green thumb in the family!!

Oh and krikit, for the catch and release program we bought a net, just one of those little green fish nets, normally we use the dust pan from the outside broom to help catch them, but for this particular one I just slid a piece of paper under it.

Anyway, yesterday evening we were sitting on the patio and I am on the phone yakking to my Sister and I come inside. Just as I turn away from closing the door there is this GIGANTIC cracking boom! I turn around and I just see a sheet of glowing light - lightning hit the ground just outside our apartment - probably the parking lot.

Mike was still sitting out there, he said it was white, purple and pink. Anyway, scared the bejeebers out of me

God I used to love these guys, they make me want to get some fluorescent puff paint out and draw their lyrics all over a pair of acid wash jeans.

I miss this show.

Hubby and I have several seasons of TPB on DVD. That's what we've done all weekend. I do wish we could get this down here in the South.

This guy looks familiar - but I don't know what TPB is.

Yes, wow - the mass evacuation in New Orleans, how terrible for those folks, being uprooted from your home for who knows how long and to where, it must be awful for them.

MissStacey I hope you and your Sister had a good trip to Florida and are having a great time!

We have a house to look at in the afternoon today, to rent, not far from the apartment we live in now. Thing is, it's too hot to go out today (it`s 84 degrees as I type this!) so I think I won't go look - will send the Australian instead - yeah I know that's lame of me

TPB= Trailer Park Boys. Hilarious show...it's a "documentary" of these guys lives who live in a trailer park. The guy in the picture is Bubbles.

Good luck on the house hunt. It's certainly not an easy thing. I remember when we were searching...we started looking in May '07 and it took until September '07 to find one and by the time we got moved in (finding a loan, doing paperwork, waiting for loan, closing) it was the end of November '07.

Well, my husband decided to take today off instead of working, so I decided not to leave for Canada. I'll wait and see if I hear from them (work) tomorrow. If not, I'll probably leave at the end of the week. Gives me a chance to enjoy Hurriane Hanna. Hope you're doing alright, Stacey.

What are you, nuts? If he likes it would you go see it, then, or would you just let him decide? (That is so unlike what I would do. LOL)

Ok now I see why you are not driving!

No, I don't need to see it  - he knows what I like and what I don't like :)

Anyway, he went to see it, another person came to see it while he was there...so we will see. The owner didn't mention that he lives next door

Not that I care, we are very uninteresting people to spy on :hehe:
