And advertise on Craigslist??

It does sound too good to be true Marilyn.... do be safe if you pursue this further... I think it would be suspicious enough for me to pass..

I wouldn't worry too much about this Marilyn. People seem to think it's incredulous that people would post something like this on craiglist. While you need to be discerning, a lot of people use craiglist because of one MAJOR thing...it's FREE! I know lots of people that use it, for the most bizaare things. I'm not making any slight of anyone be they people from the UK, or Asia...or anywhere, but I'm thinking about some of the posts here on VJ. Can you really and truly not think that someone could be honestly posting something like this and be genuine? I do. I'm not saying that these particular people are, but sometimes people aren't internet savvy, and maybe someone told them to use craigslist for something like this. Anyway, they might get back to you, they might not. I wouldn't worry about them having your address either.

I have had a couple of legit job interviews from ads I found on Craigslist already..

this particular job just sounds too fishy for my liking.. personally I wouldn't want to hire someone and pay them upfront before even meeting them...

and to clarify if some people misunderstood.. this was an email I got after sending an email in response to an ad I saw on Craigslist...

Good Morning! Have a ton of stuff to do today as we're off tomorrow for the wedding weekend for my BIL. It's going to be a ton of driving which I'm not looking forward to in the least. I don't know if we'll be back Sunday or Monday, but I'm sure there won't be a lack of coffee for the mornings. I hope I have SOME fun this weekend. This is a marriage that I don't think should be happening with a bride I don't like. They're not going to call off the wedding of course. I'll just have to get used to this new exteneded family member gritting my teeth! Enjoy your day, and weekend!

Oh, Carla! The opportunities for fun and frolic abound! A family wedding to someone you can't stand? There must be others who share these affections who you could make friends with. I would be thrilled to participate in such an occasion. Think of the material you could pick up to fuel your dislike for this person! Her dress. Her shoes. Her hair. Her manners. The things she says. Why, the list is endless! Please take notes so you can regale us with your observations!

Stay safe and have fun!

Don't you wish you could pick Krikit up on the way to the nuptuals?? These extended family members are funny. My Husband has an Aunt and they don't see eye to eye (read - he can barely stand to be in the same room with her).

Anyway, I think on one occasion we received one of those 'this is our news' emails from her - didn't hear from her again - then miraculously, just as we are about to move to Florida we get a 'so what are you two up to' email (which we didn't respond to).

Sometimes I am not so amazed at how stupid people can be as amazed at how stupid some people think you are
