We got the lamps for our wedding; but afterwards bought some at Polly Magoo's on Whyte Ave. in Edmonton. Although I have seen some really cool ones here in the Pike Place Market.

OMG - I'm so gonna go there this weekend. Sorry, not rubbing it in. :P

Good morn. Nice cool morn here in RI. Good day for a Frappuccino!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Frappuccino! We might have to run that by Carla

Happy Saturday to you all. It has been overcast here for about a week, which rather suits me as it keeps the temperature at around 30.

Not up to much today - surprise! We played world of warcraft until 2 this morning :hehe:

Oh dear. Hope he's feeling much better now.

Good morning everyone. Here's your coffee. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I'm just going to throw in some laundry then head over to Sanford to do some shopping. Need to hit the Sam's Club to pick up some water in case of emergency. Plus get some cash from the hole-in-the-wall. Having experienced the great blackout of 2003 (wow..... has it really been 5 years?) I know that debit machines don't work without power. :hehe:

Mmm thanks for the coffee gal!! I was looking at your post and thinking... why she stocking up ? Then I looked on Weather.com.. stay safe my friend.. :( Hopefully it will blow itself out before it does any damage.

Hubby's doing fine now.. he had a tummy ache, and just went to bed. He's had the same reaction to raw oysters when we were on PEI a couple of years ago, so I think it's raw seafood that gets his gut. He loves sushi though, so that's a major problem :)

I am soooooooooooo glad I don't get sick on sushi. I flipping heart it. Raw oysters...... I've just learned to appreciate them. When I first tried them years ago I likened it to eating snot. But now I really like them. There's an oyster house where I used to live that has tons of different kinds on the menu, so you get to taste the difference between each type and location. It's awesome. ^_^

I still can't do the raw ones. I love em any other way- charbroiled are my fave though.

I have come a long way in the last few years regarding seafood- I was always so squeamish about it. Back home I wouldn't eat peel and eat shrimp unless someone else peeled them for me.
