I agree - no icing - and lots of raisins in with the cinnamon! YUM!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

oh my gosh yes  it has to have raisins... my mom always makes hers with a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar and of course raisins...

I always eat mine chunk by chunk spreading butter on each piece leaving the middle for the last because the middle is the best part...

Oh Yes!! That is exactly the way to eat a cinnamon bun and the middle is the best. I use a mixture of cinnamon, brown sugar and butter with lots of raisins and sometimes even walnuts or pecans - yum!

Cream cheese and cream cheese icing is good on anything! Haven't tried it on Cinnamon buns, but yes, I can see that being good too. Yummy warm from the oven - oh my god, I want a cinnamon bun NOW! Slice cucumbers and tomatoes just isn't doing it!

I find icing ruins the taste of cinnamon bun.. specially home made ones.. I guess it would be ok on the kind of dry ones you can get at the store :P

yeah and a cinnamon bun has to be eaten warm...

Just read about YOUR return home for a visit Kathryn! How fabulous! Enjoy your vacation! It's exciting that Joe is going to see your hometown as well. That's great! Say hello to your Dad from us!

Ok i'm thinking what we should be doing is opening a cinnamon bun place!!

Spirit, how sad about the doggie, sorry it's such a rough year for you and your sweet, but hang in there, it will come right.

What's this about Kathryn and a holiday? Kathryn are you going on a trip...did I miss something

Well we went to look at another little house last night. It is on a lake, great little spot, nice street, but just a tad too small for us, only 1 bedroom and another smallish room 'office' - once we unloaded the relocube that would be full.

The funny thing is, the guy who is living there now is from Thunder Bay - although he has lived in Florida for like 18 years and is now moving to Minnesota.

The couple that own the house seemed like really nice people and we had quite the conversation with the Husband, both about Florida and about George Bush etc etc.

Pretty much my first conversation with an American since being here
