with hubby's old job he had to get up around 4am to be at work at 5... I would get up to make him his coffee and pack his lunch which was usually just leftovers from the night before...

now hubby gets up around 6:30 to be at work around 8am.. this is much better  but now he only takes about half a sandwich to work for lunch :o he says he doesn't have a lot of time to eat lunch...

We don't have to get up at four! We get up at 5 am usually, because Gene has to be at work by 6 a.m. and I like to get up with him to see him on his way, and I make his breakfast and lunch for him while he's getting ready. This morning, we just both woke up at 3:30 a.m. and had some snuggle time, then we thought, heck, we'll just get up! No sense trying to fall asleep and then be woken up by that darn alarm in an hour again!

We'll probably be in bed at 8:30 pm tonight.

YOu are a dedicated wife!! It's all i can do to briefly wake up at 5:30am to whisper I love you to my hubby as he kisses me on his way out the door.. and make his lunch?? well i shop with him at Wal-mart when we go to get frozen lunches..

oh man i'm a horrible wife.

:bonk::bonk: You are NOT a horrible wife! Never, ever equate what I do as being some type of measure. Never measure yourself against anyone to define what a wife is. Be yourself, and give to your husband as I'm sure he gives to you, what you both want. Your husband loves you!!

Gene and I are both very early risers. Even on weekends, we rarely sleep past 6 a.m. Sometimes I groan to get up at 5:00 a.m. but I'm not working outside the house, and he was a bachelor for years before we married. I'm used to getting up early from having a couple of kids, and that was the only time after they started to sleep in ...that I had to myself in a day! :)

tee hee.. it is true :) i was being a bit tongue in cheek there :) My hubby never really asks for much.. and i know we both love the mornings where there is no where to go! Unfortunately those are few and far between these days :) Ahhhh I'm a good wife just in other ways

Were up at 0445 in the week day, so wife can be out the door for work. I just feel guilty staying in bed, so I get up, and quite enjoy it! She could go into work later, then would have to fight traffic!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

ugh, I finally got the bill from the therapist I saw a few months ago.. (had to stop going because we don't have insurance) and it looks good except she is charging 90 bucks for the first session and it should only be 30 bucks... there was some mix up awhile back.. I didn't know I needed an approval letter before going to see the therapist so I called the insurance people after the fact and they said no problem we will date the letter to include my first appointment.. but it looks like they didn't :P I am so tired of dealing with the insurance people.. I will just suck it up and pay it...

oh and another thing on the bill it says payment is past due.. WTH?? this is the first bill she has sent me

I hear you about the insurance, Marilyn. I too have received 'past due' bills - and they are the first ones we've received. My first year here I think I spent more time on the phone dealing with the doctor's and the insurance companies trying to get them both to correct their mistakes that I should have sent a bill to them for MY services! Good luck at getting it all sorted out.

Good morning all. You know the funny thing is, when this thread was started by thetreble, I think she was just starting a thread to make a comment about the 'other' OT forum (correct me if i'm wrong treble!).

Well I think it's nice that you all are getting up so early, someone has to I guess

I don't normally sleep in much either, although last night we stayed up until like 2.

a lot of threads are closed after a certain amount of posts because they kind of bog down VJ so it gets locked and a new one is started usually with a link to the last one....
