see that is why I am going for it.. I think it will help in the healing process... and like I said earlier I really miss being around babies...

I have usually babysat boys plus I have 4 brothers so taking care of a girl will be a nice change of pace....

That is a lovely quote, Emancipation. And so very true. I always find that when I focus on/give to others then, suddenly, I am no longer thinking of myself and everything falls into place and I am at peace. Makes me a much happier person.

It's definitely a life quote.. i've had myself read it over and over again at times ;)

Good luck Marilyn. It may be hard at first but I have a feeling this job would be like you said, helpful in your healing. (F)

So on the topic of trips, my mom mentioned today something about her and Dad maybe coming down to see us in the fall. They haven't been here since our wedding 3.5 years ago, and she finally feels well enough to think about a big trip. YAY! I hope we can figure something out! :)

Whew - we finally have air conditioning again! It was a bad capacitor and an uncomplicated fix. I entered into a year's maintenance contract at the same time since we really haven't done any maintenance on either the a/c or the furnace except for changing filters since Joe bought the house nearly 6 years ago. So they were able to put today's work on the service contract and the actual bill for today was $157. The service contract was another $149 for a year, but it included a checking and cleaning of the furnace as well as the a/c today and will include 2 more visits for each over the next year - which alone would have cost $79 each visit. Without the service contract today's visit would have cost $185 plus the $79 service call fee so $264. In effect, the service contract really only cost an additional $42 dollars and has brought me a lot of piece of mind. hehehe plus - if USCIS dares to send us a request for more evidence I now have the service call and the contract on our house in my name that I can send.

Whoa. That is one huge coffee, Charles.

Well, I am officially having little panic attacks wrt trying to prepare for our hols. There is so much to do and so very little time to do it in. I think it's exacerbated by the fact that I have been distracted by family problems. My uncle in Vancouver has had a stroke, my cousin has had to go in for surgery, my other cousin has had complications with her reconstructive surgery from the cancer treatments (I have gory pictures for those who like that stuff.... lol), my aunt is going in for heart surgery on friday, and my other uncle is in failing health and the doctors don't know what to do. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment. I think I'll go shopping.
