:D Having a wonderful time here in Pubnico! We had a family/friends get together today...lots of family, family pictures, and lots of food. Tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary and we're going to his parent's cottage by the lake...Joel's parents are babysitting so we get to spend the night there. *sigh* It is heaven being home again...even though technically I'm not Canadian (merely an honourary one). First stop out of Halifax airport was...TIMMY'S!!! :D Anywho, it's late here and we are bushed! It was a long day but a very enjoyable one.

Y'all take care now, y'heah!

*sigh* sooooooooo jealous!!!!! :) Wish I was there in NS too.

have a wonderful wonderful anniversary!!! :)

PS> Stacey -- our dog hates fireworks too (especially since our neighbors all around us spend close to the GDP of a small European country on fireworks and set them off for as many days as they are allowed). It takes him a bit to calm down each night and he's awfully fidgety, but if he can hunker down near one of us, he's ok after a while.

Yes, Happy Anniversary Karen and Joel! May you have a wonderful day!

I'm home from my trip everyone!!!! It was SOOOOo much fun, and I got to meet my new nephew, and walk on the beach 2 times!! YIPPEEE!!

I had no trouble at the border, although I had to go to secondary. Basically I had brought some more possessions back from Canada and they wanted me to fill out a customs and declaration form listing what i brought (1 box of pictures, one painting etc etc), and then put an estimate as to it's value. Then the female guard (very nice I might add) checked out my trunk and poked around in a few bags, and sent me on my way. Very easy and took less than 10 min!

the curious thing that happened was crossing to the CDN side I pulled up and the women said "how long have you been in the States"? and I looked at her like - I live there, and she said something about my New Brunswick Plates and I said 'um.. they are Connecticut license plates (trying not to cheeze her off)" and she looks back at her computer monitor and says - well look at that they are - let me fix that.. and she started typing in her computer and "fixed" it.. so what was that all about??

so where in canada is really the best ski spot?

is it banff or whistler???

Depends I guess. Banff is sooooooooooooo romantic!!!!! Though it's spendy, so you might want to stay in Canmore. Whistler I've never been to, but with the Olympics coming in 2010 I am sure they have made huge improvements to the infrastructure. When are you going?

Hey E, glad you had such a nice time!!

Carla, yes we do, it's not sunny this morning, in fact it has been rainy for a couple of weeks (and I for one am appreciating it) - it's so humid here that even the covered patio furniture is damp this morning

I think I am a little more accustomed to the heat now than I was than when we first arrived - but just. I was saying to Mike the other day that Florida's summer is now like my Canadian winter (ie basically I will be staying home a lot and I will have the airconditioner on instead of the heat).
