Good Morning! Marilyn found this delightful soothing cup of coffee for me to share with you today! Thanks Marilyn! (F)

I'm here for only a short while this morning as I'm heading out to some garage sales. Here in St. Louis, they only hold them Wednesday mornings and Saturdays until about 1 pm. Different!

Enjoy your day.

Looks like I'm first in with coffee today.

Had a busy day yesterday. My husband and I had dentist appointments first thing in the morning, but they were running way behind schedule so I had to cancel mine because we also had chiropractic appointments...... which I'd scheduled TWO HOURS following our dentist appointments. I totally do not appreciate the way some professional offices treat their patients' time. Was going to go on a rant here, but I'm in the wrong thread. :hehe:

After the chiropractor we stopped by Starbucks for a coffee, then headed for a mani/pedi. Then the Fresh Market, then into Sanford to Sam's Club, then to Liam Fitzpatrick's Irish Pub for a bite to eat. Well.... the American version of an "authentic" Irish pub, anyway.

Then I dropped my husband and groceries at home and went over to Walmart. Then I decided to do some gardening. Then we chased another freaking lizard out of the house. :o Then it started raining so I stopped gardening. The end. :hehe:

I think we posted at the same time this morning! Thanks for your cup of coffee as well. Sounds like you were very busy indeed! Going over to the vent thread now to "read all about it"!!

That is indeed weird. I can't even fathom it.

As soon as I saw your name in the thread when I hit submit I knew that was going to happen.

You are hilarious!

What a day; other than the late dentist thingie, all went smoothly, huh?

I love Fresh Market!

Whenever I am in Florida, I find one.

Hmmm...I wonder where else they are.

Google!

What did you get from Walmart?

How was the pedicure?

Hee, hee.

With all due respect, try to limit your shopping at these types of big box stores and help the l'il ones out.

Thanks for the coffee Carla and krikit!

Wow krikit, you must just be an energized person, first the cleaning day now this. Any one of those activities would be a 'full day' roster for me

I didn't know there is an 'Irish' pub in Lake Mary! So how is the food? I love pubs, does it have any of the ambience of a pub?

I'm not sure if anyone posted this:

George Carlin died and I am a huge fan.

Yesterday, whilst unpacking and cleaning, I got on google video and listened to Life is Worth Losing again.

What an incredible starting monologue!

Here it is:

I'm a modern man. A man for the millenium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multicultural postmodern deconstructionist, politically, anatomically, and ecologically incorrect. I've been uplinked and downloaded, I've been inputted and outsourced. I know the upside of downsizing I know the downside of upgrading. I'm a high tech lo-life. A cutting-edge, state-of-the-art, bi-coastal multitasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond. I'm new wave but I'm old school and my inner child is outward bound. I'm a hotwired, heatseaking, warmhearted cool customer, voice activated and biodegradable. I interface with my database and my database is in cyberspace, so I'm interactive, I'm hyperactive, and from time to time I'm radioactive. Behind the eight ball, ahead of the curve, riding the wave, dodging the bullet, and pushing the envelope. I'm on point, on task, on message, and off drugs. I got no need for coke and speed. I got no urge to binge and purge. I'm in the moment, on the edge, over the top, but under the radar. A high concept, low profile, medium range ballistic missionary. A streetwise smartbomb. A top-gun bottom feeder. I wear power ties; I tell power lies; I take power naps; I take victory laps. I'm a totally ongoing bigfoot, slamdunk rain maker with a pro-active outreach, a raging workaholic, a working rage-a-holic, out of rehab and in denial. I got a personal trainer, a personal shopper, a personal assistant, and a personal angenda. You can't shut me up, you can't dumb me down, cause I'm tireless and I'm wireless. I'm an alpha-male on beta-blockers. I'm a non-believer and an overacheiver, laid-back but fashion foward, up front, down home, low rent, high mantinence, supersize, long lasting, high definition, fast acting, oven ready, and built to last. I'm a hands on, footloose, knee-jerk headcase, prematurely postraumatic, and I have a love child who sends me hate mail. But I'm feeling; I'm caring; I'm healing; I'm sharing; a supportive, bonding, nurturing, primary caregiver. My output is down, but my income is up. I take a short position on the long bond and my revenue stream has its own cash flow. I read junk-mail; I eat junk food; I buy junk bonds; I watch trash sports. I'm gender specific, captial intensive, user friendly, and lactose intolerant. I like rough sex; I like tough love; I use the f-word in my email, and the software on my hard drive is hardcore; no soft porn. I bought a microwave at a minimall; I bought a minivan at a megastore. I eat fast food in the slow lane. I'm toll free, bite size, ready to wear, and I come in all sizes; a fully equipped, factory authorized, hospital tested, clinically proven, scientifically formulated medical miracle. I've been pre-washed, pre-cooked, pre-heated, pre-screened, pre-approved, pre-packaged, post-dated, freeze-dried, double wrapped, vacuum packed, and I have an unlimited broadband capacity. I'm a rude dude but I'm the real deal, lean and mean, cocked, locked, and ready to rock; rough, tough, and hard to bluff. I take it slow; I go with the flow; I ride with the tide; I got glide in my stride; driving and moving, sailing and spinning, jiving and grooving, wailing and winning. I don't snooze, so I don't lose. I keep the pedal to the metal and the rubber on the road. I party hardy and lunchtime is crunchtime. I'm hanging in, there ain't no doubt, and I'm hanging tough, over and out.

all is wel here in Stoon!! Think I'm actually getting sick of Tim Hortons, lol Have switched overt to Robins a few times. Weather has been fantastic. No humidity is such a good thing

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

The pedicure was lovely. I got the french this time. I bought replacement toothbrushes for my husband's electric toothbrush, toothpaste, and allergy meds. No worries, Spirit. I go where they sell my stuff.... I do my best to avoid Wmart where I can. :hehe:

I didn't know there is an 'Irish' pub in Lake Mary! So how is the food? I love pubs, does it have any of the ambience of a pub?

Well, it's definitely like no real Irish pub I've ever been to, but it's nice. Their music's ####### but their burgers are good, and so is the smoked salmon on a spinach salad. Plus they have a good happy hour. Don't get the chicken with avocado on spinach. It came all ground up..... kinda like a hummous.... .... so I had to send it back and get the farmhouse salad. There's nothing "traditional" about the fish & chips with mushy peas.... but they kind of try to get it right. I guess if you've never lived in Canada or been to the UK (or NZ or Aus or... ), you'd never know it's not a real Irish pub. So I guess that's the long way of saying no.... it doesn't have any of the ambience of a pub. I really like The Promenade, though. They have a good movie theatre there..... stadium seating....., and lots of nice places to eat.
