The only thing I can see that is a play on words is the next to last frame, which alludes to the famous quote from Rev. Martin Luthern King, JR "Free at last, Free at last, thank God Almighty I'm free at last". :)

D'oh! Looks like we posted at the same time and I missed this. I hate when that happens.

Okay, I'm off for the day. I'm going to shampoo the carpet then head down to Orlando to return some curtains to Ikea. There was something else I wanted to do. Oh yes! I wanted to pick up and drop off my husband's shirts (and a suit) at the dry cleaners. Whooo!

Might drop by a jewellery store too.

Catch you all later! Be good. :hehe:

had a blast in the Columbian ice fields!! The snocoach tour is a must!! Just outside of jasper saw a momma bear and her 2 small cubs, got some spiffy pics!! awesome view on the jasper Tram!! Nw in Edmonton! Did the galaxy land rides yesterday!! i kicked butt at mini golf!! today is the water park, 5 pin bowling and a movie!! back to calgary tomorrow, then to saskatoon on Saturday!! Think I wil take a break from tim hortons today, lol have been average 3 xl daily!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I loved the Columbia ice fields.

Of course there was probably more ice when I went there in 1986! Hahaha...oh boy, time sure flies when you are busy living.

Krikit, you have Ikea and I am jealous!

We only got it 6 or 7 months ago! :o You can imagine how excited I was when I heard it was coming.

Well, I have had to amend my plan. I got into a little cleaning OCD and I haven't left for Orlando yet. You know how it goes..... or at least Flames will. :hehe: .... You start out by thinking "I'll just shampoo the carpet" and then the next thing you know you've got an old toothbrush out and you're scrubbing all those little hard-to-reach areas in your entire house. Anyway, I am now to the point where I am just about to shampoo the carpet.... I've moved all the furniture that I can move from the dining room, living room, master bedroom, and study, and they're now in other rooms..... and I have vacuumed every square inch of the house...... after I scrubbed all the bathrooms and kitchen and did the laundry. Honestly, you'd think I was preparing for childbirth or something. (You know..... that little nesting thing you get just before you go into labour.)

OH MY GOD!!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!!! :help:

PLAN B: My husband will come home from work and will be so thrilled that I have torn the house apart cleaned the carpet that he will take me to Orlando to my favourite restaurant and buy me jewellery.

Well, that's the plan.

I love your plan - and am really impressed by your energy! Yipes! Can you come here and clean our carpet too - or move our furniture and I can clean it? I mean, it is all the moving and cleaning and moving back that wears me out. Heck, I got tired just reading your post!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
