I saw that. They were awesome.

Good morning, thanks for the coffee Carla and welcome back too!

Flowers flowers everywhere, these trees - these myrtles you speak of are getting full of flowers! Had quite the thunder/lightning storm yesterday, Mike was out driving in it, he didn't seem to mind but I would have. We have been here almost 2 months and I haven't even driven yet!

Our apartment complex is off a main-ish road and I still find it weird everytime we go somewhere and leave the complex area and zooooooooom we are off!!

The speed limit is 45 I think so it's zero to 70 in 2.3 seconds.

News flash re shreddies - upon reflection I see these are spoon size shredded wheat as opposed to shreddies.

:o:bonk:

Yes, where is the krikit!

Yeah, sorry about that. Sometimes I just can't be bothered to be on the computer. Plus I was getting way behind in the things I needed to do here, so I decided to do that instead. I find once I log onto VJ I can't seem to leave it.

Is this true? You have to fill out a W9 to open a bank account?

She's full of #######. I didn't have to fill out a W9..... whatever that is.

Howdy from Calgary!! Weather has been cool (like +15 C as a high) but love it, soo much better than 100F with humidity!! And I'm chugging down tims, lol 0935 and I have already had 2 XL triple cream, lol had 3 on my first day, lol. Nice to see peope walking around the stores with their timmys, lol

Whooooooo!!!!! I like when VJ friends are in Canada. It kinda makes me feel like I am too. Is that weird?

I just need to say that in 722 hours Patrick will be here.

Well, technically he'll be in Canada, but we'll be together :)

AWWWWWWW, Jun. That is Sooooooo NICE. (F)

Well, I didn't get the job. I was second in line though. I suppose that should be some consolation. They did say if this one doesn't work out, they would call me. *sigh* Tnanks to all that wished me well. I still have my teaching job so all is not lost. Something else will come around I'm sure...if it's meant to be. :)

Second in line! That is Excellent!! That means they'll have you first on their list for when another opening becomes available. Whooo! Good work, Karen! You deserve a gold star. :star:

I am kind of getting tired of the mentality some people have in the OT....

Oh I know what you mean...it's rare that I post anything in that particular OT...and IF I post anything, it's usually in a neutral thread. Which as you and I both know those threads are few and far between....and can most of the time become an outright flame war.

Sister Marylin.... for having mentality they would need a mind..... ;)

Yeah..... there are a lot of idiots in OT. Do you have links?

And BTW, Len..... so nice to see you back! Hope you are keeping well. :)

a little hint... in the bottom right hand corner of the screen you will see some options click on the one box that says "Topics All" .. there is a whole list of things you can search for including "locked Topics" ;)

Big hugs and hello to all this VJ clan!

Coming to you from La Belle Province, my hometown of Montreal.

Well, you can never really go home again; not to mention it wasn't my home since 1994.

My short stint here before moving to Chicago felt like a visit.

It is good to go to my favourite pizza place (Pendellis on Van Horne, yummmmm), and see my bro and friends.

The TamTams on Sundays at Mount Royal are always a blast, not to mention being asked to have my portrait taken with my stick (a 6' staff I play with).

Driving back tomorrow if the weather is good.

Toronto and Detroit may be stops if I am feeling energetic, or else I will zoom zoom zoom straight back home and prep for our move downtown!

YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!!

It is nice to have many homes.

That is my news, and I hope all of you are doing well in your worlds.

I will read your news when I catch my breath, like maybe in 2009! Hee, hee. Nah, I will make the effort when I get back.

:star:

PS I am having trepidations about my crossing the border; having been traumatized over a year ago.

Yes, yes, travelling papers in hand and a list of my few belongings I am bringing back....do send me energetic courage. :D

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.

When I went to U d'M, I loved TamTams - best spent Sundays . . . . sigh . . . and Peel Street.

Welcome back, Spirit! So glad you are home safe and sound. Have a safe trip back to your new home. The border's a breeze. Except for the wait at secondary. Otherwise, they pretty much wave you through. They also never ask you any questions because they're more pre-occupied with processing your AP. You've got it made.

I said that just for you. And maybe Trailmix. :hehe:
