Congrats Cassie and yes, you should go out and celebrate

Ok, so we just returned from Walgreens - where I bought Shreddies and ketchup chips, neither of which I normally eat, however I bought them because I could

Anyway, we get to the check out and we have quite a few things, woman comes up (i'm still browsing a bit at this point) and my Husband says - you go ahead - since the woman only had 1 thing.

Wellll, he got accolades for this. First the woman thanked him for being so polite, then the cashier thanked him for his politeness and kindness, then they had a conversation (the two women) about how rude most people are then the woman thanked him again.

Then the cashier thanked him again as we were leaving

Ok, it could be that I was in mountain time and now in Eastern time....so you guys may have to start getting up earlier

To view with your morning pleasure, I present a picture of my daughter and I while she was here. We were out at Grant's Farm for the day. Since she's from Canada as well, I think this calls for a Tim's this morning!

Gene and I are off for a long weekend up to his folks place in IL. We're attending a 39th surprise birthday party for his brother Saturday, and going to spend some time with Gene's Dad on Father's Day. Won't be back until Tuesday!

Enjoy your day, and weekend!

That's okay if you were busy...I was just noticing you weren't here in the morning like usual. See how you were missed? Was hoping you weren't thinking my coffee was poisoned! :(

This greeted me this morning when I got the paper!! I have seen it almost every weekday morning so I took my camera along with me this morning. I'm tired of telling Gene and my neighbour about him/her and wondering if they believe me!

wow, a black and white cat !!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
