I totally forgot to tell you something Trailmix.

When we got back to our house, the person who had been staying here had left behind some interesting items in the fridge.

One of which was a giant bottle of, you guessed it, Coffeemate!!!

Would you like me to mail you what's left in it?

Congrats Eric and Corinna!

All I know Spirit is that the person staying there has extremely good taste

For what, for what? :innocent:

Well, I flew into Sudbury to see Corinna and little man (hopefully only two more of these trips, including the interview) and here's the shirt I was greeted with!

I guess you should be careful what you wish for...we had been thinking we wanted to space them two years apart!

Aw that is too cute, CONGRATS to both of you and of course big brother too.

A Polar Bear coffee cup, now there is something new! thanks Charles.

Well I have hauled the laptop out to the patio again this morning - 'hauled' is probably a tad dramatic, however I have to disconnect no less than 4 cables to move it, since it is my main computer. When everything is truly wireless we can all look back on this and lauuuuugh.

Launching the space shuttle today, it's funny looking at the Orlando Sentinel - with stories like - it's the first time a congressperson will watch their spouse launch in to space and the popular Space Station spare toilet pump another dud?

My inlaws live in Tampa, think its the Carrollwood area??? and I think they can see a bit of the launch

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

this is the original name of that poster, some old timers might recognize her......

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=20393

I looked at her new profile because I suspected it was her, but it doesn't show any name changes. I also looked up "veiled" but couldn't find that either..... but maybe that's because I'm an idiot. Can't figure out how she got another ID without being connected to her old one.

Awwww. Congratulations!

Picture of the space shuttle launch today, from behind the apt building where we live:

Excellent pic, Trailmix! I am soooooooooo mad at myself. All day I was like "I've got to remember the space shuttle. I've got to remember the space shuttle." At 10:30pm I remembered the space shuttle.

You have to have the tv station on all day and it helps if periodically your Husband says 'It's T-minus-2 hours and 50 minutes, 29, 28, 27' etc

This is why my friend's insists we say, "See ya!" then turn and walk away... and not look back.

I did stop once and look back to see if she had/would.

Nope.

She didn't.

Taught me a lesson over a decade ago that I have shared with others.

It is way better than long goodbyes.

We always "see ya" again.

I loved that up to the minute reporting and photo Trailmix.
