I would just like to say that I've missed the Canada OT thread. I've spent too much time in the normal one. My head hurts :)

I feel despair when I read the regular OT forum. :(

Here is your morning coffee, everyone. :)

Thanks for jumping in on that one thread Krikit.

That dude is a troll.

I'm certain.

Either that or he wouldn't have appropriated my posting mannerisms when responding.

As Mumsie said, you really can't let these virtual "fights" get to you...AND it is challenging to be faced with, yet again, the realization that the world is not a healthy place. Too many people with such aggressive and judgmental and righteous and violent and racist and sexist and ....ahem...oops, sorry, I went off there.

I look for fairness and openness.

In the end, who the H am I to judge either?

Ok, I just read the gay parade thread - nothing funny there.

Yup, that's the one I put some energy into.

Good morning! I feel like I've been away from the boards here for so long! It will take me some time to catch up, but did want you to know I was thinking of you! My daughter is still here for her visit, and we've had a great time. It will be so sad to see her leave. :crying: But until then, we've lots of things to still do! Today is "hair" day! Hope everyone has been well, and I'll be back to regular posting probably Monday.

Ok, I just read the gay parade thread - nothing funny there.

Yeah, had to bow out of that one.

Unbelievable the hate and ####### coming out of people's mouths (one stupid one in particular)

I cannot stand the OT board...I can't go there anymore.

*sigh* Yeah, that other OT is depressing. I had decided not to ever post in OT again...til that thread about the teacher that allowed her class to vote a 5 yo out. How can any adult think that humiliating a child...whatever the age...is good for that child? Oy Vey!

Buggers!

They need a good verbal thrashing.

Ha!

And then again, what can you do?

An ulcer is not worth it.

No age, no human being should ever be ridiculed.

I don't know ,I still hang in the OT.. I just try and avoid the #######.. which is easy to do.. just stay out of the political threads etc... lol

Well someone has to be the voice of reason! So in a way it is good for the world that you do go there sometimes, maybe not good for your sanity, but good for the world

I remember once I got in to some kind of debate over there and was bashed by -what's her name, I forget, the Hillary supporter who now doesn't post (thankfully) - not that I have anything against Hillary

The thing is, whether on a forum or face to face, there are always those people, like Alhamdulillah who are so busy defending their beliefs that they have no time to listen or try to understand another persons point of view. Now I'm not saying she has to agree with anyone else, but it never hurts to stop and listen.

didn't she just change her nic? if we are thinking of the same person that is....

yeah a lot of people are just trying to push what they believe...

it is ok to have different points of view... can you imagine how boring this world would be if everyone thought the same? ...lol

We got Oliver's parents a Grandfather Clock as our thank you gift to them for the wedding..

our only issue is, we want to put a little plaque on the inside of the door to personalize it for them with our wedding date on it...

but we are having issues with how to word it...

and it's not coming out very poetic at all...

here's what we've got so far
