Calgary's just starting? Wow. I'm shocked. The recycling here is included in the municipal taxes. Or something. You know.... I honestly can't remember. How sad is that? I'll ask my Mum. Tomorrow. She's in bed now. Oh. And you know what else I can't remember? Celcius. I grew up with fahrenheit and the metric system was forced upon me long after my informative years. After being away from it for the past 1.5 years I now find that I have to convert celcius back to fahrenheit so I can understand it. You know you're old when....

People always say that about Calgary

The thing is, it went from being a moderate sized city to a big city in such a short period of time, they are just trying to catch up with everything that's expected of a big city.

As for the celcius/fahrenheit thing, i'm really a metric temperature 'understander' ahhh I love new words. I understand F for temps above 70, I know what it feels like, below that I have no idea. I never did the conversion thing - mind you I moved to NZ in my 20's and it was all metric, so that's probably why.

Oh and I meant to say thank you for using me as your referral person when you do sign up for vonage!! They called me last night - it was a combo customer service/up sell call and I got tired of listening to the very polite customer service person after like 10 mins. She had a list of things to ask me, like have you been able to access your account on the web page, have you accessed your voice mail, then she read all the features then talked about referrals blah blah blah.

So finally I say, i'm sorry, I have a call on my other phone - have to go, but thank you! She says ok, is there anything else I can do for you today (wrong script, you called me) - I'm saying no, it's all good, thank you, got to goooo take a call on my other imaginary phone. She says ok, then goes 'oh wait' and starts to go through the list of things again, have you accessed your voice mail etc etc - obviously she hadn't managed to check off everything on her list

At that point I just said - got to go, but thanks! and hung up on her. :hehe:

Why do people seem obsessed with sex and body fluids???? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=127576&hl=

i don't see sex or body fluids in that poll, it's about "do you shower/change in front of others?, at the gym"

i'm not familiar with any gym that involves body fluids or sex while one is changing clothes, is there something we should know?

ty for the coffee, carla :luv: it's almostday today

hmmmm. your ceremony will have beautiful music - lovely, lovely choices!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Oh Liz, Canon in D is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever.

Nice choice.

I remember (a loooooooong time ago) on Sesame Street (no less) they played that whilst a time lapse video showed a flower growing and blooming.

It was wonder-full.
