Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Good morning everyone, just sitting here waiting for George (air conditioner guy) to arrive. It is 23 degrees and humid here this morning.

For your viewing pleasure, a picture of the St. Louis arch from our car. We had a running joke in the car about making a list of all the things we drove by, like the Mount Rushmore (exit) - oh and the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota, which I would have actually agreed to go and see, however it was a mile off the highway and that's too far!!

I also wanted to stop in at Fairbury, Nebraska, where my Grandmother and here parents were from, however that is an hours drive from my Sister's house, so also didn't visit there. We can always visit on a drive back to Calgary as then it would be in the correct direction

Krikit, did you see this!!

Florida Woman Finds 8-Foot Alligator in Kitchen

OLDSMAR, Florida — A Florida woman found an 8-foot long alligator prowling in her kitchen late Monday night, authorities said.

Sandra Frosti, 69, said the alligator must have pushed through the screen door on the back porch and then walked through an open sliding glass door at her home in Oldsmar, just north of Tampa.
