Thanks everyone. You have no idea how much your comments mean to me. (F)

Mandi, I just read your review. I am so sorry you had to go through that. Some of those officers are just plain heartless.

Well, I have painters coming in half an hour so I must get ready for them. I finally made a decision on colours and am getting rid of the builders' white on the walls. Really great deal, too. One good thing about a recession..... it sure brings down the prices.

Shop craigslist lol or stop by ur local 7-11 for some day workers!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Thank yoU!

My Mom just called. My uncle is in the hospital and is not expected to survive. I was hoping he'd still be around this summer when I visit so I could see him one last time. It's the one year anniversary of my aunt's burial today. (His wife.) He lost his will to live after that. :(

I'm so sorry to hear that Krikit! That's just horrible.

I'm sorry ::hug::

Krikit sis, I feel for you. (F). Most people who have been together for so long die within sometimes days or months from each other :(

Lizeta... kudos on being a to-be-aunt. It is amazing dahlin: all the fun, none of the responsibility ;)

p.s The POW WOW rocked people. Connecting with Native Spirituality is always one of my highlights. So today, I want to share the blessings of our Creator with you all. Love you bunches.

Krikit, you've been there as so many others have, for so many of us it's the least we can do. I know your friend's son died not too long ago and now your uncle is gravely ill, it can't be easy. (F)(L)

BTW, what colour did you select? *fingers crossed for seafoam green  *

Great idea, those guys in front of the Home Depot charge too much.

Liz, Congrats on becoming an Aunt-to-be, the only thing better is being an uncle, even less responsibility.:lol:
