Good morning!

Took the day off yesterday so Gene and I could indulge in some anniversary activities! Was a gorgeous day here yesterday, so we went out caching, then relaxed outside most of the day. Had a lovely dinner, and some wedding cake from last year. Surprisingly, it was as good as the day we got married!

I'll be working Tuesday mornings at the nursing home I was assigned, so today is my first day! Enjoy YOUR day!

Yes, Happy Anniversary Carla!

Good morning all. Well I got some sleep last night, which I really needed, I was just kind of in a daze yesterday due to lack of said sleep!

So we are going to stay here in Nebbie until Thursday, going to go shopping today, have a look around. It's overcast and 5 degrees here today!

I don't even follow conversations anymore  There are so many "insides" that I don't even know what you guys are talking about!

If you're trying to follow Mumsie and Len and Spirit's conversations just know that we don't know what they're talking about, either. :hehe:

I'm sorry Mephys and Krikit :crying: , if the truth be known I don't know even what I'm talking about most of the time.

Me neither!

:star:

OK going back a few pages to catch up, that definitely made me feel better :D

You silly bunch of sickos ! :luv:

Hey dudes...

Tonight I went to a seminar on dark chocolate called Xocai.

It's amazing stuff!!!

Click here for the lady's website who hosted it...it has a cool video on it about the chocolate.

One little piece of this chocolate is the equivalent of eating 1/2 a pound of spinach.

It's great for arthritis, diabetes, dental health, inflammation, cholesterol and so much more.

It's not like our regular milk chocolate (which is loaded with fat because of the sugar and milk) This is made differently, cold compressed to save all the antioxidant's...It's awesome!

It's from the States so I'm excited about moving down there even more now!!!!

I have always loved chocolate so I thought I would share!

Ok, this is strange. Driver's here don't stop for pedestrians :o

My Sister lives in a small town in Nebraska, we went for a walk to the 'Historic Downtown District' (about 3 blocks from her house) last night and you can stand on the corner and no one stops (actually one person did).

She lives across from a park, so tonight we stood on the corner (checking traffic - just want to be clear on that) and like 4 cars went by and no one stopped to let us cross. It is the law - anyway, i'm so surprised!

That is surprising for a small town!! i remember stopping for a pedestrian here in the DC area, and my wife was like "what the hell are ya stopping for?" lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
