Awww. Thanks guys. I'm normally able to shake it off, but I guess I'm being a bit sensitive at the moment. I probably just need a hug.

And a chocolate bar! Don't hesitate to comfort yourself with food, regardless of what Oprah says :hehe:

Hope you can "shake it off" with some of that good chocolate! I get that way sometimes as well. Don't we all? Sensitive is a good word. It's a good emotion though too. Never let anyone tell you you're too sensitive.

Anyway, big HUGS for you!!

Awww. Thanks Carla. (F) My husband tells me that sensitivity is a gift. I kinda look on it as a gift-curse.

I have decided to spend a little less time on VJ so I don't inadvertently step into the "Threads of Mayhem" when I wander out of the Canada Forum. It's a jungle out there.

ya, its amazing how a certain innocent topics get side railed!! Some people just want everyone to be miserable like themselves I guess.

What a day!! Turns out i went to class with my t shirt inside out!!! Went and got a haircut and the barber chick says "ur shirt is inside out" lol Oh well!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

You should have just said "I'm Canadian".

It's my Mom's birthday today and we are going to the birthday celebration, so we won't be here to hand out candy and I actually feel kind of bad about it, I feel obligated to give the children candy! Probably because I loved halloween so much as a kid.

On the other hand, I never actually go to the door, my Husband does haha. We live in a bi-level and it's too boring to run up and down the stairs every 5 minutes and they foyer just is not that interesting.

So I got my Mom a new shelf stereo and a double Willie Nelson CD (her favorite), so she will be a happy camper.

Happy Halloweeeeen!

Tee hee..

On Saturday we were moving friends into a new apartment and one of the girls (USC) asked me if I knew if there was a Little Ceasar's (Pizza) around.. I looked at her and said (without thinking) " I'm Canadian - I don't know anything".. tee hee... i got teased for the rest of the afternoon about that one!!

What I meant to say was "I'm not from here, and I don't know where anything is!!"
