No, didn't have one. Three vehicles (three brothers) moving in a convoy and poor Mom exhorting us to check into a motel.

Oh, poor Mumsie. I SO know what that's like when males decide something and you're only along for the ride. :(

I have a confession, I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess. :innocent:

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

No, I meant your actual mumsie, Mumsie. Or should that be Celine? :hehe:

ok, i'm typing this on my laptop, does it look different!?

Did you just say something?

Hmmm Timmys!!! may be heading to Calgray in June for a wedding!! OR some where tropical for a holiday later on? Sandy beaches or Timmys? choices choices, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Ok, that is a good excuse, whew, sounds like a lot for one day!!

I still sing the enjoli commercial sometimes, however, I had forgotten it was for enjoli....so I guess the marketing wasn't that great.

:o I had no idea they still sold the stuff, but apparently they do. Some of these commercials ran for 15-20 years and print ads run forever (ask me about the lion-hearted Chryslers for 1959  ). The other big name was Prince Matchabelli. I remember the name but I couldn't for the life of me remember the perfume or the ad. It's a bit like the old Turk, I don't remember the name but the fez is familiar. :innocent: BTW, if you sang the jingle how did you not use the name of the product, just curious. :innocent:

Easy:

"ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM"

My good friend and I in Montreal would sing that l'il ditty constantly.

She would start and then it would get stuck...and then she would ask, "What commercial is that for anyways?"

And we'd wrack (sp?) our brains and didn't remember.

Well I didn't even have a TV!

Fast forward to last week:

the commercial came on TV!

Only they have upgraded the car. It's for Mazda.

As for the Enjoli and Prince Matchabeli, I refuse to watch the ad because it will get stuck.

As it is I recalled the melody for the word Enjoli....don't ask me what the product was. :hehe:

No, I don't think I know flame's Sister! There are a lot of crazy people in Calgary!

It's funny how you say there is a lot to do in Calgary flames, we are always saying there is nothing to do

Mind you, we live in a suburb, with nothing really around here (which I like because unless you live in this neighbourhood there is no reason to come here) - yet really we are only 20 minutes from downtown.

Well, the Relocube is supposed to arrive between 7 and 9, so my Husband got up at 6:40 (funny thing is I looked at the clock at 6:39 and then the cat came and meowed at the bedroom door - guess we are all excited about the relocube) :hehe:

We will be heading off in the car for Florida tomorrow, unless the roads don't look great, seems to be lots of snow in Montana - so we will postpone leaving for a day or two dependant on if the roads look clear. We still have our snow tires on, will people in Florida notice?

Exciting times.

Even the kitty is wondering what is going on, huh?

Very sweet.

I wish you a smooth day of prepping and I hope the weather is good for your drive Trailmix and partner.
