Been busy with the puppy and my husband, stepson and yard work. We spent the whole weekend cleaning up the yard and there is still more to do. I did plant some veggies and herbs though- I'm so excited about that!! :)

I leave to take my stepson to school in a few minutes and then he is with him mom the next few days, Mel is at his day job and then teaches tonight so I have a whole day to myself!!

Oh, I just LOVE fresh-from-the-garden veggies and herbs. I just bought some new herbs, myself. I managed to kill off last year's crop. Container gardening. Not conducive to people who go away a lot. I need to make a little plot for them in the garden, somewhere, so the sprinkler system can keep them alive. Unfortunately, the garden here is far smaller than the garden I had at home, so that's going to be a bit of a challenge.

Wow. A whole day and night to yourself. I had that yesterday. They're awesome. :)

I found all the great herbs I wanted here- back in Canada I could never find all the ones I really wanted.

I worked at a Greenhouse for a little while in Alberta before I got my Visa- they had lots but not the traditional ones you really want (parsley, rosemary, basil, cilantro) Me and my co workers would still snack on the ones they had though :)

Veggies- I have them all in pots- tomatoes, cucumbers, purple bell peppers, eggplant, I can't wait to harvest my crop.

I have discovered coconut rum mojitos since I moved down here! Unfortunately, this has decimated my mint crop.

Good Day All Every One,

I am changing the channel for a moment.

AND

I strongly urge you to take 18 minutes and 44 seconds out of your usual routine and watch, listen and feel this.

It is powerful beyond words.

It is about our brain and our world and our Selves in them.

If you haven't discovered these Ted talks yet, they are all about innovation and I have witnessed the coolest things...like interactive computer screens where you can paint with all fingers, and animate your paintings. Wild stuff!

I think I will post it in the other OT too. Hee, hee.

Enjoy!

18 minutes and 44 seconds? I will have to come back to that tomorrow. My dance card is full today. I need to go and complete that video survey they sent by Purolator yesterday before they call me on the phone to follow up this afternoon. *wonders why she said yes to stupid video survey*

Plus Canadian immigration, paperwork wise, is easy compared to the American system. They have pretty clear guidelines on the government site and you send everything in all at once. Plus you don't get the buffet of visas to chose from.

So I am just taking a break, sunshine here in Calgary today, have the food channel on and it's 'sugar', so aptly she is making a cake, with icing that looks like it has chocolate chips in it - looks delicious!!
