I think I was posting the same time you were Crikey !!! I'm going for a haircut today as well. Then off to the used book store to see how many I can trade in at one time. I read about 5 books a week, and I'm running out of books !!!

*Can't wait to see if those exclamation marks are big !!!

*Edited to  Yep, they're big!*

Five books a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy shmamoly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm lucky to get through a book in its entirety in a year or two.

One has to sit still to read.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, please do not get me wrong.

I read tremendous amounts; all kinds of books - although extremely rare for me to read fiction - and I have tons of 'em.

Just the sitting still and focusing on one subject/book/anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is a problemo. Hee, hee.

I'm even attempting to get into an on-line video of one that I have in my possession now: Eckhart Tolle's, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose.

Not that I do not know tons about purpose. I just loved his Power of Now shtuff.

And I'm certain now that Oprah has befriended Eckhart, he will rise to stardom, which is really not Zen-like at all, and quite out of what seemed like his character.

HOWEVER

I am thrilled with the possibility that his messages (and others like that/him) get out to the general public...and it has gone world-wide.

BTW, I used pale yellow or whatever colour that was for my ONE exclamation point to try out being subtle; which is really not me, so I will stop that.

Bah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you are all well and good.

yay two cups of coffee today!:dance:

good morning everyone.

I guess once we get to Florida I will be up at 6 something MTN time!! ! !! ! !

Lots to do today, I did not accomplish much yesterday, I was on the phone much of the time. Oh, I filed our taxes in early March, my Husband had his refund deposited like last week (same account as mine), but no sign of mine. I did change my bank account information this year, online using my account at the cra site.

All good. So I'm wondering where my refund is, look online, nothing, call telerefund - nothing, so I call a person. She was quite short, asked me when I had filed and then told me they can't see anything for 4 weeks (as in - it doesn't appear on their screen), double checked my account number with her again

I changed my address with cra to my Mom's address - guess where my refund cheque arrived yesterday!

Pheww...glad I wasn't fired for serving up that scary coffee yesterday! :( Here's a nicer cup (L) ...surely this can't be scary!

coffee-2.jpg

Training went REALLY well again yesterday! I have decided that one half day I'm going to do the Ombudsman's job, and another half day I'm going to do intervention and followup with victims of elder abuse. This should really round out my week! I'm going to shadow a buddy next week, then I'm on my own.

I wasn't scared my your coffee yesterday Carla... I thought it was pretty. I'm glad you weren't fire too though :) Today's is much purdier.

Job sounds great! That's so awesome.

Congratulations Len on a new interview! You go get 'em sis! Let us know how this pans out.

How does everyone make those big exclamation marks? I like them! :)

See how it says 'be confused' in the lower right hand side of that picture. Well I am now. It's the same coffee as yesterday

I don't find it scary either Carla, oh and your work sounds very interesting, also very emotionally challenging, good for you for taking it on - I for one couldn't.

- ok right after I posted that the coffee changed to the one with the heart!!

Congrats on your work news Carla!

I love that sun in the coffee.

I tend to say (it's in my email signature):

I AM SOLAR POWERED!

Oh and if you haven't figured it out yet, edit by selecting your text and going to the top (look up above your text box) and picking the letter A, see the colours? And then picking the size right beside that A.

Holy Canadian wheat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of things happening in the Canada forum.

Carla, if you want more books, gimme a call and I'll sell you mine ... naaaa, after much thinking we decided it's not worth the drive to get 50 effing cents per paperback and NADA for hardcovers. So, next step, the public library to donate (with a nice tax deductible receipt) a sh1tload of books.

Trailmix, cool to hear about your refund!!! I will send our taxes (US & CAN) this weekend. Both govt's owe us a buck or two... though we did not qualify for the stimulus thingy, but whatever.

I officially hate Crikey today. Why??? Because she gets to go to the hairdresser while I sit in my desk crying about missing my dear Mahdi, who was not only the best in Edmonton, but also threaded my eyebrows and let me smoke in the back room he he.

Shopping with mamma in law was fun, even if we didn't find ####### for me. No offense ladies, but my body is different than North American bodies in general, and i always have the hardest time finding effing pants. Maybe that's why i remain a skirt kind of gal. #######. I guess I will actually show up for work on Saturday in jeans  please don't anyone tell mi madre

Oh, and.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never had my eyebrows threaded but I saw it done on television once, part of a show about Malaysia - it looks so cool.

Crickey is so nice. You know what she is doing today??!! She is going to view a condo/apt for us because I was uncomfortable sending the guy money/renting sight unseen :)

Yes, it is a challenging word to spell.

And these people have a job!

Bah!

As for a great haircutter, I found her in Portland, Maine of all places (in my travels).

I will go and see her as soon as I can.

Usually I just trim/cut my own hair. It is not difficult.

As for pants for women's figures, Len, I usually have to buy larger pants and take them in at the waist.

I dart them.

Crazy!

As if we all have boy hips.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya, hun. Clothes shopping with me is like going to the moon. I think there are about three or four non-kid stores in the humongous mall near our house that have anything in my size. <_<

D'oh!!!

Apparently you have been here in invisible format, Carla, and managed to beat me to the coffee yet again! Maybe I'll just start bringing fresh fruit and donuts.

You make those exclamation marks by changing the size of the font!!!!! Or the colour!!!!! Or the style!!!!!

So ends today's lesson.

There will be a test later in the week.

I can't make it, I have a note from my doctor.
