In RI now till Tuesday!! Have had TWO timmies AND they have tasted great!! AND it is ROLL UP THE RIM TO WIN time here!!! HE HAWWW Life is good, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Waaaaaaaaaaah. I HATE missing Roll Up The Rim time!!!!! :crying:

The commercial for it keeps coming on tv and i'm thinking - it's a bit over the top, the people are so excited - about on par with the 'we just won lotto 649' commercials.

That's hilarious. But it's not real. If that had been my real cup, it would have told me to play again. :hehe:

My fitness-nut co-worker used to say "When you win a donut.... do you really win?"

Wow...what a work out I just had :hehe: ( I love it when that little tongue sticks out! )

Hope you're enjoying your Timmie's flames. Hope you know you have to split all your winnings if you win with us!

Gene and I are planning a trip in April (the 17th - 25th) to see my parents! My first time back in Canada since I moved! Yeah!! Think Roll-up-the-Rim is over at the end of May, so maybe I'll get a chance to win! Either way, I'll have won already...a trip back to beautiful Canada!

Oh wow, Len. Your Mom is coming? That's just awesome. What an amazing recovery. The things a human body can do to heal itself just amazes me.

INDEED!!! She is coming peepz, and I thank the Gods for her miracle of life (I'm feeling all spiritual today, so deal with it)!!!

Len I hear you about the books, we have 2 totes full, well I have 1 too, so I guess that's 3. My Husband likes his books so much that he doesn't actually bend the spine of the book when he reads it. He says it's more of a habit than out of respect for the book (since he used to like having the book looking new).

I know sister, this is going to take more time than I expected. Bren has bunkered himself behind his collection and won't eat ;) unless I promise not to sell his books  darn.

She sounds like fun :hehe:

There's this health club I know about that's right next to a Chinese buffet. I like that.

I'm not sure which happens first, though. Do people go stuff themselves and then work out or do they work out and then chow down?

Depends. If it was a friendly buffet I think they would let you eat before and after.

I know I posted earlier about feeling lonely right now... well, one of my good friends just let me know he has a week's vacation and he'd like to spend it with Bee and me. So now we're planning on taking a drive down to Baltimore so that we can spend the weekend with our mutual friends :D

Nini - Vancouver BC, Canada (she's the one who does the forum thing)

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

Getting our sanity tested by bureaucracy since 2007.

Here we go again...

Fantastic news about Mom. Now I'm just debating if Len is going to mass on Sunday and just how many hours she'll spend in the confessional. I figure she'll be out in a week, tops. Sis, a few million "Hail Marys" aren't so bad. :innocent::lol:

Sorry I'm with Bren on this one. You can do just about anything to TLM but hands off the Tagore, Sister.

I have my books

Somehow heavy squats aren't exactly conducive to proper digestion. Ever done 'vomit' squats, I think that answers the question.

Congrats, was it something nice? Did mom figure now that she's won, no need to drink anymore of the coffee?

Good morning! Yes Cassie, what did your Mom win!? My Mom won the Stampede dream home in 1959!

So Husband's last day of work for his company yesterday. Best part of that, aside from the fact he is relieved, is that they got a cake for him and he brought me some! Good cake!

He brought stuff he had in his desk - which isn't much - but did include a winning roll up the rim to win cup, an office 'voodo kit' (secret santa) and some kind of compass/clock/magnifying glass he got at an IBM conference.

So I proceed to toss the compass thing in the garbage. It beeps every hour - cute. I wonder if a lot of the computer guys are out there with their little compasses in the forest.

Anyway, the Office Voodo Kit is untouched! I'm surprised he didn't use it!
