Derek and I are planning on honeymooning in Ireland and I plan on doing the tour! Of course we have been married almost 3 years now and it doesn't look like we will be going anytime soon. Honeymoon, 25 year anniversary, what's the dif?

Awesome! I'm thinking I might take my hubby the next time I'm in the UK! We haven't had a honeymoon yet either. The places we've been to since we've been married don't count. I've told him only St Lucia counts. At this place.

As a Scorpio, all I can say is that Krikit's description is half right. And I ain't telling which half! :jest:

:lol::thumbs:

I hate being late!!! Maybe its a military thing!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone about it. :secret: We need to keep it "... world acclaimed yet still relatively unknown".

No need to whisper, we all know now!!!!

Does anyone remember when they would have the book thing in elementary school - can't remember the name of the company that was selling the books.

Anyway you would take the catalogue home and choose books and get the money from the parents then take back your order form and a couple of weeks later the books would arrive.

I LOVED that whole process and the books, it was like the regal catalogue of the kids book world.

Some books just arrived from Amazon which made me think of it :)

They never had that book thing at my school. But they sure did have it at my kids' schools. And I hated it!

Hey, do any of you hold any interest/believe in Astrological signs as an indicator of personality?

I do!! I do!! *waves hand in air*

I enjoy reading a bit about it...especially the compatibility thing. :)

I'm an aquarius..

what does that mean?

lol flames. Actually once I found out Liz is an aquarian I figured out the site I was using was pretty lame - does this seem like you Liz? (different site)

Aquarians basically possess strong and attractive personalities. They fall into two principle types: one shy, sensitive, gentle and patient; the other exuberant, lively and exhibitionist, sometimes hiding the considerable depths of their character under a cloak of frivolity. Both types are strong willed and forceful in their different ways and have strong convictions, though as they seek truth above all things, they are usually honest enough to change their opinions, however firmly held, if evidence comes to light which persuades them that they have been mistaken. They have a breadth of vision that brings diverse factors into a whole, and can see both sides of an argument without shilly-shallying as to which side to take. Consequently they are unprejudiced and tolerant of other points of view. This is because they can see the validity of the argument, even if they do not accept it themselves. They obey the Quaker exhortation to "Be open to truth, from whatever source it comes," and are prepared to learn from everyone.

Well...this does sound like my Joel..the parts that are bolded. Wow. :)

Well there is this about Aquarius, my other Sister is one - she thinks it's pretty accurate (she says she can only find her halloween socks - but she did remove the bells off them)

Firstly, you can't tell an Aquarian anything - they already know! In fact, they are the know-alls of the zodiac. They are original, inventive and very smart. They are very peculiar in the way they dress. Wearing footy(football) socks with a suit could be quite normal! They are nearly always late arriving anywhere because time means nothing. The telephone is their lifeline so they would rather ring their next-door neighbour than fraternise over the fence. They are so friendly even the dog down the street will find its way to the Aquarian house...and stay.

Being patient with people, make them good teachers, and are always willing to learn something new. But are they willing to go out and earn a living? Some are, many are not. These people can be extremely eccentric in the way they dress or the way they live. They make a point of being 'different' and they can usually feel very unsettled and uneasy if made to conform, even outwardly. Their restless, skeptical minds mean that they need an alternate kind of lifestyle which stretches them mentally.

My husband wears those white socks with EVERYTHING! Black suits...heck I believe he would have worn them with his tux when we got married. Seriously though, he does have coloured socks...I bought some for him and he does wear them - if I ask him to. :)

Oh I remember those fabulous book order thingies! We still do Scholastic Book orders in school today. Teachers and staff can also get books through Books Are Fun. This guy brings a boatload of books to the school, places them in the lounge, and we can actually flip through them and order what we like. I love it! Our daughter is always bringing home book orders too and we also have (twice a school year) the Book Fair (fundraising). So, we have lots of books floating around at home. :)
