Fee yrs back at BArton House apartments in Arlington VA, was coming down the elevator with my hockey golaie bag and the very obvious goalie stick, and the other person in the elevator asked where I was going camping!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Camp stop da puck. Mind you just because you walk around with a baseball bat doesn't mean that you're playing baseball.

Funny, I never pictured you as a goalie. Defence came to mind for some reason.

I got lost in Pennsylvanian suburbia trying to get my new glasses today. Boy was I embarrassed to call my husband -_-

They look quite snazzy though!

I just got a response to an email I sent to a Montreal hotel and the salutation was:

Hoping to have the pleasure to greet you, we send you our Montreal salutations.

How cute is that?

:lol: Despite arc welding without a shield (my eyes only hurt for 10 minutes :bonk: ), being chronically sleep deprived and having sulphuric acid spray in my eyes (forgot the

safety goggles), I still have perfect vision. :crying: If I put on glasses I look like Doctor Ock or Henry Kissinger.

These are the glasses I got!

You can't see them in this picture, but they have little glittery sparkles on the sides. Not really my thing, but I'm getting used to them - every other pair I liked were too wide for my face

I really like those! It's hard to pick a frame, my husband always finds the frames are too small for his face - have to try on so many pairs to get the right ones.

A little glitter is a wonderful thing!

Very nice glasses! They are similar to glasses I got 2 glasses ago. I had plastic, then wire, then went back to plastic. I love getting new glasses!

Oh yes...I noticed the craiglist posting about the Canadian Tire money is just about dying...did anyone see my post about the smell of CT? I'm thinking now...either you guys think I"m totally nuts  or, you're stunned and have NO idea what I'm talking about.

I felt very vulnerable :crying: posting this. I didn't know if I should...because it's SO weird. The people that I had shared with in Canada, and who tease me about this, were close enough to me, that I could share this. Help me out here in either telling me I'm a goof, or checking it out for yourself!
