Are all Immigrant Visa packages the same?

Does everyone receive the same Immigrant Visa package upon issuance or will it vary depending upon the case? Once they issue the Immigrant Visa will I need to immediately pay for the Green Card on the website or should it be paid after arriving to the USA?

Pay for the green card when you get the passport back, don't wait till you get to the US.  IV do not get a visa package, it is sent electronically to CBP.  The embassies went paperless a couple of years ago.

For spousal yes, but not all IV's - employment based still get a paper envelope.

i paid online after receiving the visa before entering the US

and its not immediate issue /  green is mailed to the US address after POE

 

Either petitioner or bene can pay
