Hello guys!

Does anybody from Indonesia in here?, or maybe some of you know how to ship lots of stuff from Indonesia to the USA? Which courier service is the cheapest? How long is it going to take? I will move to the USA around July, and I don't want to bring much stuff on the airplane.

Thank you for your kind attention :)

My wife suggests going on Facebook and looking for an Indonesian group where people offer to carry stuff for you to the USA. She's also willing to do it as long as it is legal and won't be an issue at Customs (she'll be visiting family from late June to mid-July).  You can PM me if interested.

Of course if you plan to bring A LOT of stuff, then that probably isn't a good option for you :). And if you're planning on bringing foods/ingredients, then you probably can find it here and don't need to ship it from there (this is also per my wife).

Also interested in this topic. Brought 100 pounds of my fiancee's stuff with me last visit's return. And she will be bringing another 100. But she has a LOT of stuff.  :)

We started looking into sea freight but got very confused.  So if anyone has information about shipping hundreds and hundreds of kilos of stuff please share. Thanks.

(Ignore the timeline, that's my former wife)

Oh, I honestly think it is not worth it to bring anything that you cannot bring in your luggage.  I believe you will be allowed 2 bags of 23 kg each.  It is very expensive to have shipments to the USA, when my fiancee came over he only brought what he could fit on his luggage and left everything else behind or gave away to his family in Indonesia and once he was here we bought new stuff he wanted/needed.
