Dual citizenship

Hello all! I have a question regarding Spanish laws around dual citizenship with the US. I am from Spain, and I have been living in the US for 5 years. In a month ish I will be eligible to apply for citizenship (N-400) through marriage. My questions are:

Does Spain allow dual citizenship in the US? If so, is there anything I need to do/paperwork in Spain before or after applying? I’m a bit lost in the process.

Thank you for your help!

As far as the US is concerned they treat you as a USC.

I do not speak Spanish, well just a bit, have never heard of Spain having an issue with duals, I have come across a lot of people from South America who have both. Should be easy enough to google the Spanish position.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Last I read about it Spain does not permit dual citizenship in general, but  if you are born in Spain you can keep your Spanish citizenship after acquiring US citizenship _if_ you declare your intent to do so within three years of acquiring it.
