Hi guys, all of my documents, including the tax document of joint sponsor, are accepted. However, they send me a message asking for joint sponsor's w2, 1099 and schedule form but he doesn't have w2 and 1099 since he owns a business. So, I just need to upload the schedule form of his again? Is that okie? Thank you so much!

It's okie to just upload IRS transcript? If so I will tell him to download it. But I wanna ask, can a business owner be a joint sponsor?

Being a business owner is not a bar to being a joint sponsor.  The big challenge though is business owners have much more complex taxes which can cause NVC and possibly the consulates confusion.  This is why I would only use the tax transcripts in this case.  Also, yes, if your joint sponsor has their most recent tax transcripts, you only need to upload those.

Good Luck!

Hi guys, I need to write a letter to NVC telling them that my joint sponsor does not have w2 1099 because he is a business owner. All of his tax document, schedule form and business license are accepted, but I think I still need to write a letter to this.

Also, should the name of the person on the letter be my joint sponsor, or petitioner or the visa agent?

If anyone knows how to write this letter, please share it with me. Thank you so much!

If he's self employed, he checks the self employed box.  NVC knows self employed don't have W2 forms.  Sometimes they have 1099s.  Pretty clear by the occupation entered whether they would have 1099s for their primary income.  A short sentence signed by the joint sponsor indicating they have no W2 or 1099 forms would be all then extra needed to point this out.  Shouldn't be necessary but it might help.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Hey, I had this same problem this same month I uploaded a letter stating that I did not have schedule form or any of those document needed. I only have w2. So I uploaded all my w2 from previous years. With letter stating that I do not have 1099 and as I do not own a business or file 1099. I told them in separate letter I don't have a schedule form I did not request this because I didn't need it. And all my documents are now completed and and accepted

NVC sent me the next message and this time, they asked for only 2023 schedule form of the joint sponsor, so I uploaded the document they requested
