After the divorce is sorted out, your best option is a spousal visa, but as the other responses have said, it will be scrutinized particularly if the marriage is very soon after the divorce and it appears your relationship started prior to the divorce.  That being said, it is not insurmountable, but it will take a lot of work on both of your parts, and a lot of in person time together during the process.

Good Luck!

How'd he get his US citizenship?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Divorce from the 1st Nigerian wife should go thru US courts as there are too many fake "divorce and other documents"  submitted from Nigeria

the new petition he creates will show how and when u met,  this will predate his divorce so expect a long AP after interview for additional security checks /no matter where u interview

I believe you have a very long process ahead of you .  My comment is that while your boyfriend is working through his divorce, you do all your research as to which visa you believe will work best for you, though most people will say a marriage visa. Do read the excellent advice given here as to the potential road blocks ahead for the two of you.

You can't do anything right now... Your fiance is married to someone else.  This doesn't sound like a situation I would present to immigration.

He's a naturalized US citizen. Moved to the US from Europe about 11 years ago. He married his current spouse before becoming a US citizen, the USCIS already knew about his current marriage based evidence submitted during N-400 process but he never filed I-130 petition for her to go over to the states.
I think we'd have a good chance with the Lagos consulate although we are unsure whether to get married here in Nigeria and file for CR1 or go for K1 fiance route since its faster when the divorce finalized

Timing for the K1 vs the CR1 is pretty close right now.
