Is the Pardon Attorney's Dismissal Sign of an Investigation Into Biden's Last-Minute Pardons?

 

[...] The Office of the Pardon Attorney serves mostly in an "advisory" role.  It receives pardon applications from current federal inmates as well as those who have already served their sentences.  The Pardon Attorney investigates the circumstances of each case and forwards a recommendation to the president as to whether a pardon or other form of clemency, such as a sentence commutation, should be considered.  Part of this process involves consulting with the prosecutorial entity that handled the case – sometimes, there is information about the defendant in the case file that is not necessarily in the court records.

 

Liz Oyer was appointed as the Pardon Attorney by Merrick Garland in 2022.  Oyer was not a long-time DOJ career employee – she spent most of her career as an assistant federal defender in the District of Maryland.  Prior to that, she was a partner in the firm Mayer Brown in D.C., so she is a veteran of Big Law, having gone to Georgetown as an undergrad and Harvard Law School.

But there was a noteworthy aspect of her dismissal that was reported by the Wall Street Journal the day after her firing – she was immediately escorted from the building by security.

This is done when there is an ongoing investigation that the individual is likely unaware of, and those conducting the investigation want to preserve all electronic records that might be available on a computer and cell phone.  Asking her to leave immediately prevents any attempt to delete such records.

Explosive Update to Biden Autopen Scandal Reveals Unelected Staffer's Role

 

As PJ Media previously reported, a bombshell investigation by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project revealed that nearly every document during Biden's presidency was signed by autopen, with only one authentic signature confirmed — his letter announcing withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

The presidential autopen has been in use since the 1950s, which has sparked ongoing debate over its legality.  In 2013, Barack Obama became the first president to use it to sign a bill into law while vacationing in Hawaii.  His office justified the move with a 30-page memo from George W. Bush's legal team, which argued that a president's physical presence wasn't necessary as long as the signature was authorized.

But Joe Biden's cognitive decline raised legitimate questions as to whether he was aware of official documents being signed on his behalf, or if they were even authorized.  Speaker Mike Johnson previously revealed that Biden couldn't even recall signing an LNG exports executive order, raising serious questions about whether someone was signing documents with the autopen without Biden's authorization.

A commenter on one of the autopen articles says this:

 

"The design of the autopen is such that there is a counter like a car odometer that counts up each time the autopen is used.  It is much more tamper-resistant / evident than a car odometer.  Pretty much the same precautions used for Top Secret keymat.  There is supposed to be a log kept of each use of the autopen.  The log should be compared to the counter to make sure all uses were properly logged.  If the audit turns up discrepancies then a manual review of all documents signed by Biden should be initiated.  The autopen signatures will all be identical.  Ones he actually signed will show differences from signature to signature especially with his advanced age.  Definitely a painstaking process but due to the gravity of his signature, all documents he signed should be examined."

In a shock move Sunday night, Donald Trump declared that the pardons Joe Biden issued to the accused J6 Committee criminals and other leftist crooks are void because the previous president didn't actually sign them.

More Tea Is Spilled on Biden White House's Press Access Rules, and It's Worse Than You Think

Watching alums of the Biden-Harris administration admit to some inconvenient truths well after the fact has in some ways been welcome, refreshing news but has in other ways been infuriating considering they could have (and should have) spoken up at the time but didn't.

Among them has been Michael LaRosa, who worked for Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign as Jill Biden's traveling press secretary.  After the former veep to ex-President Barack Obama was sworn in, LaRosa became the First Lady's press secretary but resigned in the summer of 2022 after Mrs. Biden's San Antonio "breakfast taco" debacle.

Since then, LaRosa has made some concerning admissions about what he says went on in the Biden White House during his time as the First Lady's spokesman, but it's what he's claimed since the Bidens left office that has raised even more eyebrows and prompted some "toldjah so's."  [...]

Awkward:  Pete Buttigieg Returns To White House From Maternity Leave

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Administration staffers were caught off guard by a painfully awkward situation today as former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg returned to the White House from his maternity leave.

Ex-Biden Aide:  President Biden 'Fatigued, Befuddled, Disengaged' Before Debating Trump

 

Ever notice how every now and then, you run across a news story that makes you go, "Well, duh."  In one such, on Wednesday, a report surfaced that, in a new book by author Chris Whipple, former Biden White House aide Ron Klain reportedly had some interesting observations about President Biden's state of mind, or rather, the lack thereof, before his one debate with Donald Trump.  Klain describes old Joe as "fatigued, befuddled and disengaged," and if that isn't belaboring the obvious, then nothing is.  [...]
