The Green Card is the biggie - you apply for EAD and AP to use while waiting for your Green Card to arrive, so you don't need them anymore after you get your Green Card. It is hard to know if USCIS will still issue them After they have issued a green card or not, however, it seems unlikely since you no longer require them and are no longer eligible for them since the 'pending status' of the AOS upon which they are based has been approved. Think about the fees you paid as 'insurance' that you ended up not needing after all. Congratulations.

Mark got his EAD card after the GC arrived  ...we applied for it as a type of insurance against being stuck in AOS name checks and the fee for the card seemed small in comparison to possible lost wages through not beingh able to work while waiting for his GC. His AOS went quickly and thankfully his GC came in first-so never had to use the EAD. I was still glad we applied for it, though...."Murphy's Law" and all...

Congrats on your GC to the OP.

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Why would anyone even want a green card if it wasn't sufficient for work and travel? :)

You may or may not still get your EAD and AP, but you certainly won't need them any more

Yes. You are good to go.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

I noticed on your time line that there was no mention of an interview.Did you have one or did you get your green card about 2months after the biometrics? We just had our bimetrics today and also applied for an EAD which I see we should have just waited.

we didn't have a interview.

after the biometrics, i just waited & waited.

then got the green card.

we also paid for the EAD & AP applications.

guess we won't be getting our money back.

but just couldn't take the risk of not being able to work, plus i have to go back to the UK.
