Hello April's filers!

I mailed my joint package on 04/06/2024 via USPS to the Carol Stream IL PO Box.
It was delivered on 04/08/2024 and available at the PO Box for pickup since...so it has been a week there according to USPS.

My green card expires on April 19 and I am starting to be worried that my package won't be pickup before the expiration date.
I also checked on MyUSCIS account to see if maybe USPS didn't update the status of my package, but nothing new there.
Should I contact USCIS to be sure they pickup my package or there is not much to do about it?

Anyway, I started the 2024 April topic since it did not exist yet.
Lets hear about your timeline here and good luck to you all!

Oh yes I know it should take several weeks before I receive my extension letter/receipt.
What I was saying is that my package has not been picked up since it arrived at the PO Box on 04/08.
And I am worried if USCIS don't pick it up before the expiration of my GC date on April 19 that would be a problem for me? Or is the date of delivery of my package count as the date of filling?

What matters is not a pick up date but post mark date. And it got marked before 04/19, so you're good. I wouldn't worry about this. USCIS comes and empties PO box in batches, not daily from what I understand.

USPS is notorious for not updating their status.  If the package was delivered, you are fine at this point.

Hey SuperG - Is there any update yet? My package was sent out on April 2nd (by my attorney) and haven't received any update yet.

Sandiegodan2020 - How were you able to see the status online? I am unable to track mine as I don't receipt number to link my case to the USCIS account.
How did you link your case to the USCIS account without receipt number?

Congrats! My app was received by the Tempe lockbox on 4/16 and still haven’t received any text msg. I have an online account number with USCIS. I wonder if the lockbox in the Phoenix location (delivery through USPS) is processing faster.
