My parents have an immigration visa interview scheduled at the US Embassy in Islamabad on April 16th, 2024. They completed their medical examinations on the 8th of this month. However, my father’s medical results are pending due to a spot found during his chest X-ray, which has led to further sputum testing. The medical facility has scheduled his three-day sputum test from April 15th to 17th, which overlaps with the visa interview date and time. When we informed the medical facility about the overlap, they told us over the phone that this date was provided after consultation with the embassy. However, we have not received any communication from the embassy regarding the cancellation or rescheduling of the visa interview appointment. Therefore, I am unsure if my father should attend the visa interview or the medical test. Additionally, since my father is the principal applicant, I am wondering if my mother, who has cleared her medical test, should appear for the visa interview.

we received the appointment letter through email, I was expecting it in mail. The email is comprehensive and gives the detail about approved medical facilities and other relevant information. We have to make a call to medical facility to schedule the appointment.
