RFE FOR K2 AOS

I am so bummed. I thought everything was so thoroughly done - crossed every T and dotted every I. I virtually sent a complete copy of my AOS evidence and CPR stamp and card along with all of his AOS evidence. I haven't got the faintest idea what they could possibly want in addition.

I hope it's something simple that's easily resolved. Just need to await the detailed letter now.

It will most likely be for something very simple, so I wouldn't worry too much. It's just a bit of a delay for approval, that's all.

My daughter followed-to-join with a K-2 visa to finish school in Canada as well and her AOS interview was Feb. 22nd. At her interview, the officer told us that we could add her name onto my application for removal of conditions, which I found odd because I have had my Green Card since Dec. 2004. I will be sending in my application for removal of conditions this September, and my daughter will only have had her GC for 6 months at that time.

I don't know whether to trust her advice and add my daughter to my application or not because it might cause my own application processing to be delayed. But why would that officer tell me to do that if it wasn't possible? I wish those USCIS employees could get their acts together.

Ask the officer that does your child's AOS interview if you will be able to add them to your application and see if you get the same story. I'd be interested to hear what they tell you.

Raymaga is correct. Just try and not to worry too much and once you get the hard copy in the mail you can correct this and be back on track in no time. Good luck.
