If I'm petitioning for my husband to come to the US from the Dominican Republic, will I have to travel there for our interview, or will we get separate interview dates for locations near where we reside?

If you are petitioning him as a spouse of a US citizen (CR/IR-1) then only your husband will have to complete an interview at the consulate in DR.

you dont need to come to the interview. it's not mandatory for consular processing

Not only not mandatory, but it is very rarely even allowed.  The interview is for the visa applicant, not the petitioner.  Also VERY RARELY, the petitioner does have an interview locally, before the petition is approved.

DR allows the petitioner to be at the interview.

When answering a question or correcting another poster try to be mindful of the specifics.

Dont answer GENERALLY when a poster has given their interview location.

So, @Chelle1994 you can fly to DR if you want to go to the interview. I know I appreciated my husband being at my side when I had to interview for my IR1 visa
