Your oath will be 2-3 weeks after you interview or maybe sooner. I had my oath 2.5 week after my interview.

Got my expedited US passport yesterday had appointment last Wednesday and picked up yesterday.

That’s fast. Your passport application was sent off last Wednesday?

Did you order a passport card too? I've traveled over the border and it was very useful

Not needed. The book covers that.

No I went in person to the passport office here in Houston because I am traveling on a cruise this Saturday. You can get a passport in a few days/same day if you have travel plans within two weeks. Just I paid like 225 for the passport and the expedite fee.

And no the passport card wouldn’t serve me any good as I usually travel by air and internationally. So i just got the book. I have no reason to drive to Canada lol

From your experience?

No. I mean their website says it does. Passport Book has all the benefits of that card.

I know but that expedite is fast considering you got it in the mail already.

Has anyone recently done a name change alongside naturalization at Houston field office? If so - how long did you wait for oath ceremony?

It looks like the wait from approval for normal cases is around 3 weeks so I’m wondering if it extends the time significantly. I realize you have to wait for a court date but presumably in Houston they are fairly frequent.

One they may ask is what is an Oath. Seems to be common one on the Youtube videos on N-400 interview.

Do you know if they are still holding larger ceremonies as well as the smaller ones in the Field Office? When I attended my interview last week there was a ceremony about to start. Wondering how long from notification of the date until the actual ceremony is as well…
