Houston Texas N-400 Processing Times

Well had my interview first thing this am. Time was 7am but arrived 15 mins before and checked in, did biometrics etc after that. Got called maybe 10 minutes later or so by the IO. She was very very very nice. Did civics test and got all 6 first try, very easy questions. Then the yes no and we chatted a bit. Asked my my wife's name etc. It was very easy going and we joked and laughed a bit about somethings. Approved on the spot.

 

Waiting for Oath to be scheduled. I informed her that I have traveled planes at the end of May  and she said no big deal just reschedule your Oath, they make it easy to do this. 

 

Overall 10/10 experience with the office and this officer.

Interview  May 13th, 2019 for I-130 Stokes interview ( 5 minutes)

NOID issued May 17th 2019

June 5th,2019   USCIS received my response per NOID,   Addressed the NOID myself, No lawyer ever used in case.

July 1st, 2019  10 YEAR GREEN CARD APPROVED

July 5th, 2019   Approval letters for I-130 & I-485 received in the USPS  mail.

July 11th 2019   Green Card in Hand

My husbands interview is in 3 weeks  @ 7:15 AM    was your spouse allowed in with you to wait in the waiting room?

I have received an email this morning notifying me about an action taken on my N-400 case. My interview was scheduled for Wednesday May 8th 2024 at 8:00am am. I applied online on January 31st under 5 years, completed years ago. Field office Houston, TX.

Had my interview 3 days ago 4/19 and Oath was scheduled this morning for Wed May 8th at 8am. So, 3 days from interview to Oath Scheduled. Thanks to the good Lord!

Same deal. Mine took 3 days from interview to oath schdeuled.

I think with the ceremony coming up they may be trying to get as many people as possible in. I’ve seen online that the event holds more than 2k people in the venue they use for that.

Do we have to inform SSN and DPS of our status change after Oath?

 

I still have the restriction social security card that has DHS on it.
