Problem - No Letter or Email from NVC

Summary: I received notification (from a third party) of our NOA2 approval on February 7. I did not receive email from any agency. I did not receive a physical letter from the NVC. My fiancée has been worried and anxious because our case had not shipped to the consulate in Rio yet.

Here's a bit more detail:

My fiancée is Brazilian, we met via a dating site in the middle of 2022 and hit it off. In February of 2023, I went to visit her in the small city she lived in at the time, and stayed for 5 weeks. Everything was great. We then started the K1 visa application process, and I sent everything in in June. I received the email receipt that it was received on June 20.

Fast forward a little, and the fiancée sells her business and goes to São Paulo to stay with her father. I went there on December 15th and stayed through March 1. Again, everything went well. She's amazing and our relationship is great.

Before I left to travel to Brazil, I put money down on a new house that would start construction in January. I put my previous house up for sale in January and quickly got an offer on it. There were a couple minor hitches as I was out of the country, but the sale went well. I closed on it the Tuesday after I got back and had three weeks to pack and move out.

While I was out of the country, I had my neighbor across the street gathering my mail. The I-797 from USCIS was in the mail when I returned home. There was nothing from the NVC.

I received notification from a third party service (Track My Visa) on February 7th that our application was approved by USCIS. The I-797 was waiting for me at home, but I never received any email. I'm wondering if someone fat-fingered the email address, although it is just my initials and birth year and a simple domain.

The time between when I got home from Brazil to when I was completely moved out of the house and came up to Tennessee to stay with a friend was very hectic, I was super stressed and my brain was just too distracted to follow what was going on.

I sent an inquiry email to NVC two weeks ago this Friday, but have not received a response. I have the RDJ number and can check the status on their site, and it just says "At NVC". So I dug around a little bit, found the process there, and realized I was supposed to create an account there and provide more stuff...

... but I never received the letter from them, nor any email!

AND... their customer service number just has a recording saying they're basically not going to answer calls and to use the resources on the website. I've spent a little bit using the search feature here, but couldn't find anything that applies to "the NVC never sent me anything". What can I do at this point? Wait for the email response? When I sent it, I didn't realize that I was missing the letter from NVC so I do not have the invoice ID to sign up on their site.

If u recd no in about the NOA2,  how did u get your RDJ  # to check NVC?

and you need to understand the process /for K1  do not provide additional "stuff"  to NVC

U wait for NVC to send petiton to embassy and to follow the steps once the embassy sends u a notice

Nothing I posted contains any information that could be used to actually identify me, so what is the problem?

I got the NVC number from an inquiry my fiancée sent on Feb 20. They replied on Feb 21 with the NVC case number. That's the only place we received it from and the only way we've been able to track anything.

So at the point that the visa application is sent to the NVC it's just "hurry up and wait" until they send it to the consulate in Brazil? My fiancée has seen cases that were sent to the NVC after ours have already been sent to Brazil, but ours just says "At NVC". I know they don't work in any specific order, but our case is taking a lot longer than others in recent times.

From your description, everything seems to be normal.  NVC will not send you anything except an email when they send your case to Brazil.  All you can do is wait for them to send it.  Since your fiancée already got your case number, there is no need to contact NVC for anything now.
