My personal experience was they do not like them and well over the requirements, I would definitely show a long paper trail.

The I 864 is quite clear savings are an option

Oops I see you said income and not savings, bank statements having nothing to do with income.

Anybody get approved based on bank statements to cover sponsor’s income? Is it good option to send 12 months bank statements to Adjustment status application? Appreciate from sharing your best experience.

Adjusting status with bank statements and/or savings is more difficult to pull off than through the consulate.

The sponsor still needs to file taxes or write a statement explaining why taxes do not need to to filed.

But, I would definitely have a co-sponsor available if the 12 months of bank statements do not add up to an average of the required amount.

How big is the sponsor's household?

Is this for a K-1 interview or Adjustment of Status?

Immigration wants IRS transcripts to show legal income /important to know USC thru income to support the intended immigrant and to prove u can add to a plan or afford health care for the new "spouse to be"

IF USC files no taxes as on SSA or SSDI , and /or retirement from work,  then letter of non filing is needed from IRS along with the yearly statements SS sends out to verify the yearly income from SSA or SSDI and any letter from retirement

Use Form 4506-T to request any of the transcripts: tax return, tax account, wage and income, record of account and verification of non-filling

Immigration will need copy of all W2's and 1099 received from work or retirement or disability
