NVC DQ Complete - What is next?

NVC DQ'd our application and it is headed for the consulate. I tried to search on here to see if there were any notifications before getting our interview date but couldn't find anything.

Is there anything I should expect or is the next thing we will receive going to be the notice of interview date? 

Is there any source of information as to when interview dates are being set for in Mexico?

u will get an email notice with further instructions when it happens

There is a long queue for Mexico so now u wait

 

USC should make sure the 2023 tax returns have been completed and if the Mexican has  spent more than 6 months out of Mexico ,  except the USA,  a criminal report will be needed from that country. Otherwise,  have patience,

Yep, taxes filed.. so as i understand it, I just sit in the dark again not knowing anything until about two months before the interview when they send a notification.

 

I know there is a long wait, does anyone have any idea how long? From what I can find online it looks to be a year +-.

This is the process:

 

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interviews for cases at the front of the line.

5. NVC schedules your  interview when your case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

6. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

7. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

Waiting in line....nothing to hear until NVC schedules interview.

The wait is 2 to 3 months after your case is DQ. You don’t wait that long for the Mexican Embassy in Juarez.

I'm also wondering where this info came from.  There are some webpages (like NVC) that say "You should get an interview within the next 2-3 months" but this is boilerplate language and that has not been true for years.  Ages ago you could do the entire immigration process start to finish in 6 weeks.

I spent a lot of time searching wait times and they seem to universally be ~1 year for USCIS processing the I-130, ~1 year for NVC processing/consulate interview, plus or minus a couple of months depending where you are.  Even looking specifically at the Juarez Consulate, avg times were 358 days.

I agree. Looking at the data available here for other users, the trend is 8 months from dq until you have a date then it looks to be 2 months out for the actual interview.

No Mexican Embassy will be involved.  No US Embassy will be involved.  The US Consulate in Cuidad Juarez is where the interview will be.  The wait there is far more than two or three months.  It's more like a year.

I’ve had 2 other cases in Juarez and never waiting 1 year. Not even during COVID shutdown.
