Hi

Apologies if this was already answered.

Does anyone have any knowledge or insight in regards to a scenario like below:

US petitioner working and living in third country with their spouse. The job is for a U.S company contracted with the US govt. Spouse hasn’t done the interview yet but believe it will be close.  If the interview comes up and he gets his visa but we decide to still remain in that third country due to work, will it be an issue?

Still keeping the US bank accounts, using mothers residence for mail, keeping life insurance policy, US company health insurance, paying taxes, keeping storage unit of the previous US apartment furniture. Visiting every 6 months-9 months. Saving up for a house to purchase in the US.

The immigrant visa will be valid for 6 months following the medical.  Visiting the US ever 6-9 months is not adequate for LPRs.

Sounds like you do not plan to live in the US as an LPR anytime soon?  Perhaps delay the process until you are ready.
