Been a while since I've updated my timeline.  I got to November and it was still saying 12 months.  Then near December, they did an update on the system and mine changed to 3 months and now a month later, 2 months.  My PD is 18 March 2024.  When we applied, the current timeline for those that applied the year before and getting approved was about 12 months.  I'm pretty sure when I applied, the timeline was 12 to 14 months.  I'm not going to get my hopes up but I do have hope.  The earliest would be only 2 months away!!!!  I'm going to visit my husband in March and if we don't hear anything by the end of my visit, then we only have about 3 months.  I flew over to see my husband in August and then he flew here for 2 weeks just before Christmas.  These little visits have helped so much but will never make up for the time lost, especially for our children.

Hang in there all, we are so close now!

🙏🏾🙏🏾 2 weeks ago my uscis progress time-line said 1 week until a decision ,so I said I'm not going to look the next week, so 2 weeks later I said to myself let me look and now the progress timing says we're still reviewing your application 🤦🏾‍♂️ why did i look 😞🤔

So I have completed the 3 month countdown on 'My Progress' today and as I expected, it has gone to, Your case is taking longer than we previously estimated, but it is within normal processing times.

The next step to decide is if they will allow my husband to visit his family again.  He came over for 2 weeks just before Christmas and returned home when he was supposed to.   We know that any travel is risky but our house is putting up for sale this week.  It is an inheritied house and needs to be sold according to the will so if it has sold then he won't have that tie to the UK.  My husband will be staying with our oldest until he gets the approval for his green card so other than credit card bills and banking, ties will be limited.  I'm sure he can get his employer to write a letter and he will have his return ticket but not sure at that point if they will see his ties back home are strong enough.  At the same time, our children are suffering through all this, especially our youngest.   I'm on the fence, my heart is breaking for our children.  On the other side, it could be that our i130 approval comes in late spring or summer and he has a trip booked and would have to cancel.  That would be a lot of money to lose.  I think just waiting it out is the best and safest move.  We are all so close now.  Just a few more months for this step!
