So, exciting news: We are March 2024 filers (NOA1: 2024-03-08). We just received I-130 approval (NOA2) today 2024-10-03.

We also filed a K-3 application (I-129F) in early April and received an NOA1 date for I-129F of 2024-04-25. We strongly believe that having filed for the K-3 had a significant impact on our timeline when we are seeing normal processing timelines extend to 14-15 months right now. There is nothing special about our application. We were fully expecting an I-130 approval to come closer to July 2025. However, our I-130 application was approved in under 7 months total and 5-6 months from the date of filing for the K-3.

Wow Congratulations I am happy for you this gives me hope. I also filed the I-129fF but I applied on March 19 for the I-130.

Ours has gone to taking longer than expected

really? I mean I dont really have a clue what to expect anymore. Peoples timeline and approval times are all over the place depending on what center has it, when/if they filed the k3, and the personal circumstance of each case. I was told to totally ignore the timeline estimate they provide on the website but it has consistently gone down each month and is the only thing that giveas me any hope...but it is WAY off the estimates that i see from people on the internet so who the heck really knows?

Our progress was very short at the beginning.  I applied 18 March.  Not long after, it went to 16 months and had been bouncing back and forth between 15 and 16 months till end of August.  Then in Sept it went to 14 months and mid October, it went to 12 months.   It's all over the place so I only go by the estimate that was for all I 130's on the government website which was appoximately 12 months but I know it could take a few months longer.  Today, the 'my progress' tab is missing off my account but I'm sure it will still be 12 months.   I take no note of that tab anyway but I do like to check it once or twice a month.  It's my curiosity that likes to see what it comes up with, lol.

US citizen moved back to the states with our children to file, husband remained in England

Most people DO know - and it's around 12-13 months for I-130 based on general processing timelines shared here. It's very common information around here and other groups online.

Strange, I applied in April and it started at 14 months, then 12 then 9 and last month it went to 4 and this month 3. I just cant imagine that is correct based on what everyone else is sayina and I am waiting to log in to see it jump back up again. I want to saee what it says next month, if it says 2 months then I will begin to believe the trend.

These estimates are super flaky and unreliable. People get decision on their N-400 and estimate showing 4 months until decision:

Somebody got "Your case is taking longer than expected" 9 days after filing. It's a joke.

Mello3, is your spouse still in their country?  If so, it will def be at least 12-14 months.  If they are here and you applied here earlier this year, there is a good chance you could be approved sooner as they are clearing this year's in country applications quite a bit faster than last year.  No matter what though, take the 'my progress' tab with a grain of salt.  Rarely ever accurate.  I had some friends that applied consular processing from the UK last July and it said 10 months for them and when it got to March/April time, it changed to case is taking longer than expected.  They just got their approval late Sept. which tied in with the .gov site estimate of 12-14 months.   I just wouldn't take any of those estimates on 'my progress' as written in stone.  12-14 months and if it does come sooner, well, that's a wonderful bonus but for us, we have just planned on our i130 approval being March/April 2025 or shortly after.
