I had my interview last year, the officer returned my passport and gave me 221g paper. He didn’t ask for additional documents and just said to wait for further instructions. Has anyone been in Administrative Process for over 9 months and has obtained visa approval? They took pictures of my tattoos and asked questions about my life and relatives. I have a clean record and the tattoos are not gang/criminal related. Does anyone know how long the investigation or clearance takes? Anyone from Central America that had the same experience?

You probably need to sue

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

White

I agree with @Boiler might need to get with a lawyer.

What does 221g white slip mean?

The U.S. issues a white slip to a visa applicant when it falls under the complex category of section 221(g). This is usually because you did not provide enough or required evidence during your visa interview. Therefore, your case will require additional processing by USCIS based on the documentation and information that USCIS receives.

Hello, Any update on your case? Did you get your visa issued? We are currently in the exact same situation! My husband has been waiting for 5 months now!

Hi Yes I got the email on April 9th, they requested my passport, irs transcript and new medical exam. I sent my passport on May-10-2024 (it took me a while because I had to wait for the transcript to become available). I just got issued on September 18th and arrived to the US on September 20th. Send me a message if possible.

Thank you for the quick reply!

I am happy to hear that everything worked out for you, that gives us hope. Our attorney has reached out and we also made an inquiry through congressman, but unfortunately the consulate responded by saying that case is still going administrative processing and they will reach out once process is completed. At this point we just have to wait for them :(

It's just frustrating because my husbands case was approved the day of his interview on 6/10/24 and they kept passport. However, when he went to get his passport there was no visa in his passport, just a 221g letter stating case under review and didn't ask for additional documents. I have faith in GOD that his visa will get issued!🙏
