Sandra said she's helped fight for cases of even shorter marriages - why were those any different?

She said she helped get a spouse get VAWA after 6 days of marriage!

as long as you suffered abuse and you have proof of it then you should be fine. It does not matter if your marriage lasted for 1 minute. As long it is a bona fide marriage and your have proof of abuse you will be fine.

My ex is threatening to change our divorce into an annulment based on immigration fraud. If this goes through, does this threaten my VAWA petition?

If the marriage annulment is granted you won’t have eligibility for a Vawa case .

A few weeks back, but he found out before I applied, and gave uscis a report that I would be applying

Uscis will not take into consideration what he will tell them, but they will consider his letter if he  submits an annulment .

My “abuser” also contacted his congress person with his side of the story 🙄.

can that be used against me?

If divorce is based on fraud, it’s the same.

This was not a bonafide marriage. She already admitted that.

Hi everyone, Newbie here..

Can anyone help me with figuring out, whether I am within the processing time of my VAWA case or not?

filed I-360: Sept 2020

     Approved: March 2023

RFIE medical I-485 from NBC Lee’s Summit director April 2023

RFIE Response received June 2023

my lawyer Says that there is no way to get an update on my I-485 and has no idea where it might be.. that doesn’t sit well with me. Can anyone enlighten me as to how much longer, or what to expect next? I just want to visit home.. it’s been 11 years.

Thank you
