Just from Visa Journey's members, I have handled over 25 cases of bigamy, with all of them receiving their green cards through VAWA without any issues, however naturalization the situation is quite different.

Can be citizenship be denied based bigamy after vawa approved greencard?

It's Sunday, and high time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke*:

*guaranteed to evoke approvals and positive progress, if correlation = causation

============================================

HALLOWEEN JOKES

I threw a huge Halloween party last year, but this year I'm ghosting it.

My Halloween costume is merely my Monday face with more makeup.

Why did the ghost become a bartender?  Because he knew how to lift spirits.

I'm dressing up as a responsible adult this Halloween, but it's just a costume.

Why are ghosts such bad liars?  Because you can see right through them!

Why did Dracula fail at stand-up comedy?  His jokes really sucked.

What's more terrifying than a haunted house?  The in-laws visiting.

I'm not arguing -- I'm just passionately expressing my point of view that Halloween candy should be a major food group.

This Halloween, I'm going as my own worst nightmare -- a morning person.

This year, I'm going as a black hole, because my social life is already a void.

The scariest part of Halloween isn't the monsters; it's realizing that you're another year older and still eating candy for dinner.

:P

Hi!! Can I do an uncontested divorce if my ex husband does not sign the papers? I was going to send a certified mail and I'm sure he is not answering within 35 days - that's the required wait time in NJ court. I really don't want to contact or see him to get the papers signed but I really want to get this done. Thank you.

Whatever you just don’t do annulled. If it’s annulment it won’t qualify for vawa.

It's Wednesday already, and time for our highly effective, upvote-worthy Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

A DAY ON THE FARM

A farmer drove to a neighbor's farmhouse and knocked on the door.  A boy, age 9, opened the door.

"Is your dad or mom home?" asked the farmer.

"No; they went to town," said the boy.

"How about your brother, Howard?  Is he here?"

"No; he went with Mom and Dad."

The farmer stood there for a few seconds, shifting from one foot to the other, mumbling to himself, when the young boy said, "I know where all the tools are, if you want to borrow one, or I can give Dad a message."

"Well," said the farmer uncomfortably, "I really want to talk to your Dad about your brother Howard getting my daughter Suzy pregnant!"

The boy thought for a moment, then said, "You’ll have to talk to my Dad about that.  I know he charges $50 for the bulls and $15 for the boars, but I have no idea how much he charges for Howard."

Good Day all

i filed my work and travel permit renewal in July and few weeks after I received the receipt notice for my travel permit but nothing for my work permit. My work permit is set to expire in a month and my employer already reached out asking for the updated. I’m getting really nervous as I cannot be without a job. What should I do?

Reach out to your congressman/senator. It's possible the notice got lost in the mail or someone in USCIS screwed up and didn't process the I-765 or somehow misplaced it.

Like all in all "issue or re-issue me a receipt notice" is not a huge ask. The receipt notice serves as an automatic extension for 540 days (has to be presented together with the EAD).

I agree what demise said. Reach out to your congress person they would help you to get the receipt notices. That was happened to me back in 2021.

Oh our goodness -- Sunday means it's time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

THE SMART ROBBER

A robber went into a bank.  He pulled a gun on the bank clerk and manager, saying, "Give me all the money!  I need it to set myself up in a trade or profession.  You know, initial investment is needed to cover the overheads until my cash flow is established and turned into passive income."

The bank manager said to the clerk, "You'd better do what he says... I think he means business."
