It is Wednesday... let us evoke good news and prompt some approvals (that is, if correlation = causation) by means of our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
YOU MAY BE GETTING OLDER...

When your spouse says, "Let's go upstairs and make love," and you answer, "Pick one -- I can't do both!"

When your friends compliment you on your new alligator shoes and you're barefoot.

When a sexy babe catches your fancy and your pacemaker opens the garage door.

When going braless pulls all the wrinkles out of your face.

When you don't care where your spouse goes just as long as you don't have to go along.

When you are cautioned to slow down by the doctor instead of by the police.

When "getting a little action" means you don't need to take any fiber today.

When "getting lucky" means finding your car in the parking lot.

And, of course, when an "all-nighter" means not getting up to pee.

:P

Two questions —

1) I filed my C9 EAD renewal to Nebraska early in February this year and I’ve not gotten a notice of receipt. How long is this taking now? As well as how long is it taking to get approved  ?

2) in Feb my VAWA was also approved and my lawyer had written to my local field office to resume adjudication of my I-485 that was held in abeyance. We have not received any communication back from them yet nor request for evidence for medical examination. How long is this taking now?

I heard president has signed an executive order for certain countries to enter in the USA to make the process really hard.

It is Sunday -- time for our hilarious, highly effectve Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================
FORGOT HIS PRAYERS

A husband and wife were dining at a 5-star restaurant.  When their food was served, the husband said, "Our food has arrived!  Let's eat!"

His wife reminded him, "Honey, you always say your prayers at home before your dinner!"

Her husband replied, "That's at home, my dear.  HERE, the chef knows how to cook!"

Hi Family,

My GC (VAWA) was approved 3 years ago. I am about to start my process of naturalization. In the light of new changes and this new administration, what should I prepare? I also got married 1 year ago. Is it going to impact my application of N-400? I do not have any new evidences of my previous bonafide marriage. The evidence, I submitted with my original I-360 form is enough or not ? I am very little worried about my situation. I had I-485 interview too. The officer only asked about my I-485. They did not ask about anything related to abuse and marriage. Now, I reading on multiple platforms that USCIS checks the validity of marriage and abuse if you apply under 3 year rule. Should I gather new evidences such as calling my friends again and relatives?
