Hello please who has had this same problem and how did you resolve. I filed for divorce in Nigeria appeared before a judge and was granted decree nissi and after 3 months given another document that says decree nissi having become absolute. Now uscis says that’s invalid that it should be decree absolute, not decree nissi having become absolute . Who has had this issue and resolved it . Do I contact my lawyer and courthouse to give me another document stating decree absolute only , please help. Please bear in mind my divorce was legit, both marriages very legit. I have a baby with the abusive spouse , none with ex husband

Book an InfoPass appointment to obtain an ADIT stamp. I find it hard to believe they would go to schools for this, targeting children in schools for deportation seems unlikely. It just doesn’t seem plausible to me at al

Thank you sandra J. She already had an adit stamp on her passport 6months ago..

I need an insight, I got an update on case tracker thinking it was for pending 1-90 based on error made by USCIS on my child greencard but I got the shocked of my life when I got a revoked uodate on the child  EAD  C09  two years ago. The EAD will expired next month.  I dont know the reason for the revoked. What could be issue?

I guess someone looked over the A-file due to the I-90, then saw that the I-485 was approved so might as well just revoke the I-765 since the EAD stopped being valid when the I-485 was approved.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

I thought as much, thank you for your input.

Hi, depending on where your divorce proceedings took place, have your lawyer in Nigeria go to the court registry to verify these documents, if need be correct all issues raised by uscis official, request CTC of all divorce proceedings and all related documents. NOTE: Also, do not complicate your case by changing your divorce suite filing number..

It is Wednesday, and time for our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

==============================================================

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

I wish that Santa would publish his "naughty" list.  What a great way to meet people.

My "check engine" light came on.  I looked, and the engine was still there.  I guess I need to replace that light.

Threw out my back sleeping and tweaked my neck sneezing... I'm probably one strong fart away from complete paralysis.

Being popular on Facebook is like sitting at the "cool table" in the cafeteria of a mental hospital.

Dear paranoid people who check behind their shower curtains for murderers:  If you do find one, what's your plan?

The older I get, the more I understand why roosters scream to start their day.

You know you're over 50 when you have "upstairs ibuprofen" and "downstairs ibuprofen."

When a kid says, "Daddy, I want Mommy," that's the kid version of "I'd like to speak to your supervisor."

Last night, the Internet stopped working, so I spent a few hours with my family.  They seem like good people.

:P

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
