USCIS prints EADs and Green Cards in like 2 facilities. From my own experience it was like under 2 weeks between approval and card in hand. Majority of that time was just waiting for it to actually be printed and mailed out.

Just check the case # on USCIS.gov and it'll update to them mailing it out soon and it'll list the tracking # for USPS.

Yes. But I’m talking about a very different use case here. What I’m saying here is for scenario 1 if some applies for let’s say i360 in 2023 the processing for i360 at that given day and time was 24 months. So there processing throughout the application life cycle for them will be 24 months regardless of the processing times increase for example to 36 months in 2024. This increase in processing time will not impact their 2023 application as they will be in the lane of 24 months processing time. Is this a valid case?

Honestly, the estimated processing times are just that, estimates to keep most people from calling in. They are also based on the current snapshot so there's no guarantee that it won't go up and your case inquiry date won't slide backward.

Basically, for the most part it's it'll be done when it's done, and if it goes way over time estimates, that's when they finally relent and let you check in.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Sunday!  Time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke (this one is especially appropriate for this time of the year):

===========================================

AN OUNCE OF BRAIN

A man was lying in the hospital, waiting to be the first person in history to receive a brain transplant.

A doctor came in and said, "Congratulations!  But unfortunately, because this is a new procedure, your insurance isn't going to cover it all.  So we're going to give you 3 choices for brains, and you can decide which you can afford."

"OK -- what are they?" the man asked.

The doctor said, "Well, first, there's engineer brain; that's $100 an ounce.  Then there's astrophysicist brain; that will cost you $200 an ounce.  Finally, there's politician brain.  That's the most expensive, at $1,000 an ounce."

The man looked at the doctor, surprised.  "That's absurd!  Why is the politician brain so expensive?"

"Sir, do you have any idea how MANY politicians it takes to get an ounce of brain?"

Quick question - I’ve been using USPS informed delivery for over a a year. But I still do not know that the mail which has no tracking number gets showed up on dashboard on the day of delivery or before that when it is in usps possession  from day 1? My card on uscis website says tracking unavailable which was mailed out few days ago but haven’t popped up on dashboard at.

USCIS tracking lags behind USPS Informed Delivery. It's a known thing.

If it's GC, you should expect letter from Lee's Summit Production Facility.

I don't fully understand the question.

Let’s say I’m the sending an envelope to a person A and the receiver is person B. For example When sender A is mailing  it and usps have the envelope in possession and it will take few days to reach receiver B. So on USPS informed delivery dashboard which shows what mail and packages are coming is displayed on it. Does the envelope show on dashboard when usps have it in their possession to be delivered from the moment they have it or does it gives

or shows the status on informed delivery dashboard on the day of delivery? I hope I Make sense here.

It typically shows few days before delivery. Not sure if it shows as soon as USPS has is it in possession.

It shows from the day you the sender (person A) creates a transaction on USPS portal that you want to send an envelope to person B (person B will see this on their dashbord - sometimes but not all the time!). It does not necessarily mean that USPS has received the actual envelope from Person A but that an envelope is coming. Once USPS receives the envelope, Person B will also see the update on their dashboard that the envelope has been received. That's when you will see the tracking number. From then on you can use the tracking number to follow through the journey of the envelope until it reaches the final destination.

Correct the behavior for the transaction to come on dashboard right away is for when a tracking number is assigned. But for a plain vanilla envelope which does not have a tracking Number it does not show up. I think they scan it on the day of delivery which finally makes it to the dashboard the front copy of the envelope for us to see. So for a no tracking number envelope I’m suspecting there’s no traceability till it’s actually out for delivery.

Hi everyone,

Just stumbled on here while trying to check online what my last update meant. I just got the last update yesterday and says the case was transferred. My case was already transferred from Vermont to my local office on nov 2023 after the vawa approval. So I was surprised to see another transfer. Anyone experiences this before?
