Did you had a pending I130? Were you in removal proceedings?

Yes I was in removal, yes pending I130 and filed i360 while i130 was pending. Then i130 denied for fraud, received NOID on i360 and submitted a bunch of proofs to justify the fraud and got i360 approved. Anyway you are free to do what you think is right. Here we are Sharing experiences and advice, not legal advice. Talk to your lawyer, however many lawyer don’t know these things we share here. My i485 got denied because the lawyer failed to properly submit i601 waiver

I feel you. Crazy thing. I must ask my lawyer now why the hell he did not file correct 765. Been waiting for it since ages.

It's Sunday!  Time for our approval-evoking*, good-news-prompting* Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

*that is, if correlation = causation

=============================================

HIS FIRST CONFESSION

An old man went to Confession.  He told the priest that on Friday night, he'd been in a bar where he met a young woman.

"Maybe 22 years old," he said.  "A gorgeous blonde.  I started lusting, Father."

"Yes," said the priest.  "Lust is a dangerous sin, my son."

"There's more," said the man.  "We went back to her place and made passionate love for hours."

The priest paused.  "And how long has it been since your last confession?"

"I've never come.  This is my first."

"How come this your first confession?"

"I'm an atheist."

The priest frowned.  "Then… why are you telling ME all this?"

"Telling YOU?!  I'm telling EVERYONE!"

trying to put service request through e-inquiry but it says data is unavailable at this time. this is for my vawa. But I put other case receipt that time it doesn’t show data is unavailable. what it could be? Also is delayed means denial? i am waiting almost 5 years without any update. no rfe. lots of prima facie.

Delay doesn't mean denial

Reach out to your senator or congressman. VAWA privacy protections render service requests, infopass, etc, useless. In theory you should be able to write to the service center that has your I-360 directly, in all reality those letters just get lost in the pile. So the standard operating procedure here has been to ask your congressman/senator to ask on your behalf because a signed privacy release lets USCIS release the information regarding your VAWA to them and also the congressional inquiries have to be responded to.

I tried to write regarding a change of address once. They didn't find the letter until after my senator's office inquired about it.

Wednesday means that it's time for our intensely awaited, hilarious Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

===========================================

NOTES ON PEOPLE'S DOORBELLS

I have a baby.  I also have a gun if you ring my doorbell and wake him.

This is not a doorbell!  It's a button that opens a trap door beneath you.

Doorbell is broken.  Like your face, if you ring it.

Warning -- this doorbell sporadically electrocutes people.

Only 2 people are allowed to ring this doorbell:  Girl Scouts selling cookies and moms delivering their daughters' Girl Scout cookies.

There are snipers pointed at you right now.

Please, NO SOLICITORS.  We are perfectly happy with the state of our souls.  No one reads magazines anymore.  (Girl Scout cookies always welcome.)

Please DO NOT ring doorbell.  Sleeping baby/crazy dogs.

If you BANG on my door and WAKE UP my TWO babies, somebody better be DYING.  Thank you -- VERY tired mama.

Extremely crabby 2-year-old napping.  Please don't ring doorbell or you'll make his mom cry.

Do not disturb.  Do not ring doorbell for ANY reason, including fire.  Thank you.

:P

It's finally my turn to share the good news!!🎊 After what seemed like eternity (3yrs, 9months), I finally have my green card!!!

I've been a quiet member of this forum and it has indeed been helpful. Thank you All! Special thanks to @Sandra G. for encouraging me to do this. Thanks for all you do!

3 RFEs (Good moral character, medical and I-864 Affidavit of Support Exemption).

1 Prima Facie a week before form I-360 approval after my lawyer and congressman wrote USCIS

To everyone else still waiting for their approvals, please don't hesitate to reach out to your congressperson, update your "safe address"  and stay hopeful. I know the wait is tough but keep holding on - it will be worth it.

Timeline:

Dec 2020 - 1360, 1485 submission

Apr 2021 - RFE for Good moral character

Apr 2021 - Submitted RFE Response

April 2021 - Jan 2022 - SILENCE. (Had to get a new lawyer, reached out to my congressperson, resubmitted RFE response.)

Feb 2022 - RFE Receipt Confirmation and 1-360 approval🎊

March 2024 - 1485 was transferred for faster processing

March 2024 - Medical RFE

June 2024 - I-864 RFE

Oct 2024 - I-485 approval and green card in hand.

Many many Congratulations. But I do not see you applied for i131 travel document. Any reason while you were waiting for 485 that you didn’t apply or forgot to mention it?

I was filing i765 myself without passing by my lawyer.

@Demise  @God is a good God so just had a good news I checked and my ead card is out for mail. So my case when I check last week the processing time increased by month and a half and card was due by Nov 22. What I’m suspecting is that the calendar time to the case applies of when you apply. So given that if the processing times increases later it won’t affect the case is my assumption. But I may be wrong never know with uscis. What are your thoughts good people?

Thank you! I forgot to mention that I also applied for i131 and i765. I actually traveled with my AP card in 2023.

USCIS prints EADs and Green Cards in like 2 facilities. From my own experience it was like under 2 weeks between approval and card in hand. Majority of that time was just waiting for it to actually be printed and mailed out.

Just check the case # on USCIS.gov and it'll update to them mailing it out soon and it'll list the tracking # for USPS.
